He looks like a boss in that opening pose and he does look like Cavil in my humble opinion. He also looks buffer than mine which is giving me slight fomo.

I finally received mine. After watching your review I immediately ordered it at HLJ. Although I was really nervous to get one with quality issues, thankfully all joints are tight, despite a paint scrape behind the ankle of his left boot (any suggestion on what paint I could use to touch it up?). Overall, I'm quite happy with this figure.
Fantastic review man, I also preordered it but regretted doing so after pulling the old one out. You've set my mind at ease, now I know I made the right choice.
Plan on buying another one of this figure and paint it black suit as like shown in looks in Snyders cut JL movie 2021 Wow need to figure how to get cape dark gray or black tho lol
Definitely not my main Superman, but he's really cool. Great review! Wish we had a good comic styled Supes with this sort of articulation and detail. The Icons ones are fine despite the terrible scale and forget multiverse. (Though the Multiverse Rebirth Superman is kinda my favorite at the moment.)
D AMAZING PLEASE HELP! I've been watching your content for a while now and think you have been doing a great job, keep up the great work! The reason I ask for your help is because I do not know whether I should purchase this figure (never owned a mafex btw but this one has caught my attention). I know that you mentioned that the figure is a major improvement from the previous one and that you do overall recommend the figure but my reasons for not having purchased it might be different. I read in this comment section and in other comment sections whenever a Mafex figure is reviewed and this problem of QC issues always arises. I would very much like to purchase this figure but not if it is plagued by QC issues. Not many reviews on this figure at the moment to get another opinion but I trust yours and so I ask if there are still those QC issues or if Mafex has really changed (in particular with this figure)?? For example, since making the review have you noticed the joints begin to loosen or am I over thinking it and should have no worries with this figure? Thank you very much in advance and keep up the great work (and keep drinking that water lol).
At certain angles, the head sculpt looks amazing but head on, it really does look like a young John Travolta from other videos I've seen. He just looks too squinty. The body however is top notch.
@@lilbean4223 really, i like it tho its opposite then normal red n blue suit thats the norm lol. Plus Snyder Sups black suit vers is great to have for collectors. Would def be cool if we get Mafex martian manhunter figure.
He did a review for the SH Figuarts if you haven’t seen it. I don’t have either but I have to recommend one to you, I’m going to say the Mafex Justice League Superman.
The ONLY reason I chose SHF over Mafex for the JL Superman was the likeness. I don't mind that the SHF is a little more thin, a slight bit shorter, because it looks like Henry Cavill. The Mafex figure could just be any ol' guy in a Superman costume. It's actually why I chose the Mafex Tactical Batman over the SHF Batman. Mafex got the likeness down that time around.
Conspiracy TV any update on your figure and whether there are any QC issues or if the joints have loosened? Thank you in advance. Looking forward to picking up this figure but concerned given all this talk about mafex having problems.
Brian's Philosophy Nah, still tight it’s the best Mafex i’ve ever owned hands down. ; ) And mine didn’t have any issues with the torso joint like KenOhWee mentions during his review. I think he got unlucky with that. I did a custom job on the headsculpts too. Favourite batman figure ever.
Just saw KenOhWee's review of superman and he wasn't really able to answer my question either. He says it would take time to see if the joints loosen and I can't wait that long to find out whether it's worth buying lol. Thank you for replying, I appreciate all the help I can get.
Brian's Philosophy Well I’m sure they’re very similar. I’ve never personally had a figure that loosens over time. All the Mafex’s i’ve ever owned before their more recent ones were always somewhat loose right out of the box and within a couple hours they were unposable. All I can say, is that it is most definitely not the case with their most recent figures unless you end up unlucky like Ken did with the toe joint on superman or the torso joint on Batman. For me, all I can say is the joints on mine feel like SH figuarts which is very nice. And i’m telling you, when you see the Batman in person and how beautiful the sparkly paint job is on it, you can just sense that it’s a significantly higher quality figure than their past figures. Worst case scenario if your joints eventually loosen buy yourself a bottle of clear “Pledge: FloorCare” and use a q-tip to dab all the joints on the figure with it. Leave it sit overnight and they’ll be tight again!
F. U. I'm Batman U can get them for $60-65 from hlj and amiami but after shipping they still come out to around $75. So yeah, I feel the same way, not worth it. I'll just wait for them to release here and drop in price over time.
@@dedee7288 i think i saw something referencing to this a short while ago, i think they will make him. i reckon it would be wise of them to make both black suit and red and blue suit too. some ppl missed out on the blue and red one. Was there a manhunter in the remake? i havent seen the snyders cut yet.
@@theoneD1 yes martian manhunter is in Snyders JL film. Now that Snyders cut is out on hbo max..it would be good to see Mafex Superman black suit figure of Snyders cut def. Maybe martian manhunter as well too
Wonder if Mafex is already in works of making a Snyders JL Superman Black suit version and may hear soon of it for next year release I saw online of Mafex has already announce and shown WW84 Golden Armour figure to be released in summer 2022
@@dedee7288 well, they already made the mold of him with the previous release, so all they have to do now is just repaint it. Too many figures too much money, lol i just cant keep up.
I honestly think this is even better than the latest Mafex Batman. The likeness is excellent and the proportions are more accurate to Cavill than Mafex's Batfleck was to Affleck.
