Use silicone gun oil to prevent rubber degradation, just wipe it on with a cloth, let it soak in for a while then wipe any excess off. It won't damage the paint and will lubricate the joints too. Been doing this for many years on my 1/6 collection which is huge.

If not simple tips would be fine, I just bought 02 and it cost me a lot so I want to be more careful this time around, my 01 has pretty warped arms as I was pretty careless since it’s pretty available of the re-release

I have the RAH Alien from the film A L I E N. Its mostly got a rubber body and is pretty fragile as well. but the sculpt is glorious. Excellent video!

Many thanks for this useful review - by the by it might be the Greek g, ''gamma'' rather than if my eyes are right, but I am only familiar with the original series. This is extremely interesting - I have been contemplating collecting these - just quite how fragile are these? Would the mere act of setting in a pose for permanent display cause damage?

Patrick Gray it’s the rubber which is prone to taring I believe , not personally had any problems my self though

@@Benscollectables Thank you - most useful. Tearing is interesting, I worried that a sealed one might deteriorate over time - I tracked them down new old stock in Japan - any thoughts?

Also the rubber on the arms are very VERY brittle. Probably best to leave him in a standing pose

Great review brother!!! I love Evangellion and this is definitely an awesome piece. However if you want an awesome Eva that you can pose around and play with without really worrying about breaking it I would suggest the Soul Of Chogokin offerings...

I don't get why they include the plug for the back. At this point, Eva's were using batteries that could be swapped out once depleted.

I've only seen the original series, plus the two original films, and the 2.0 film, after that I stopped watching due to understandable aggravation of where the series was headed, completely removing almost all the psychological implementations. So that being said, coming from someone with almost zero knowledge of the newer stuff, I can say the umbilical cable is very necessary for an Eva Unit, at least in the original series they didn't have batteries to swap out, they needed to remain plugged in.

@@WhiteKnightPictures he means that for this unit and every other unit in the third movie stopped using the umbilical cord and had replaceable batteries that is shown in the scene eva 2 gamma gets defeated by eva 13 due to its battery running out and unit 8 giving asuka a spare battery

Be careful with the white armor section. It is known to stain
