@@JonatasAdoM Lmao I always make armies with 10 units of longbowmen of any sort and the rest is infantry and cavalry 1 volley from all of them at once on 1 unit = that targeted unit is wiped out no matter if it's peasants or late generals bodyguards lol
Each and every one of the menu themes in kingdoms blew me away the first time I started the different campaigns and they still do today... They do such a good job of building the atmosphere surrounding the campaign... they should be used in video game schools as an example of the gold standard for that imo

@@holdenennis The Highland clearance was bad but don't pretend it was fully the fault of the English. The Scottish perpetrated it too (seeing as the dynasty that ruled both England and Scotland was Scottish at the time). And Brexit was a decision made by the majority of both countries. A significant minority of Scotland voted for it too. Scotland is not the victim here, they would have to follow the majority vote of the EU parliament whether they voted for or against legislation too.
@@lennydale92 if Scotland wants to join the EU, then it is their decision. Brexit has shown the cultural and political gap between England and Wales versus Scotland and the occupied Six Irish Counties.

It's a Greek corruption of the Brittonic Celtic word for "world", it's referring to the island as the upper world as opposed to underworld. It could also be connected to the broadly Celtic word for hill which ultimately comes from the Proto Indo European "alb". Likely related to the word Alp/Alps/Alpine.
@StevanKonjarnik I have a tie between them and Teutonic campaign as I like the Gothic feel to it but you are right Britannia campaign to me has the best music as well.
It implies war and war in itself implies the opposite of peace and being peaceful. If you subtract that, then sure you could call it peaceful. I realize the it's a subjective matter but i just want to be 'that guy' for once :)

When I first got Kingdoms, I was more excited about the Americas and Crusades Campaigns, and I didn't really care much about Britannia. However, the music changed all that, and now it's my favorite. Weird.
The English isles, especially Ireland were very big on using the harps for their courts as it has a wide octave range (high and low note sets.) Seeing as violin's/viola's only have about 4 strings on average and (most others with 5+ usually end up getting called fiddles...) Sitar's originate from around the middle east, I'm sure you could probably research to find the origins I'm sure but, Bnlol1, My vote's on the Harp.
well worth rushing through the french or English campaign to gain access to the Scottish campaign. i loved how they'd give you William Wallace, i took great historical satisfaction is marching him and a full army all the way to suthix to wipe the English off the map. a little historical justice. although i am myself English by genetics and american by birth, i felt it a proper tribute to the man. i felt they didn't do as good a job on medieval as they did on rome. but it was still a good game. brutii represent yo!!!
dont care Kind of weird how they portray Scots as Braveheart-esque cavemen though, given that their equipment would have been pretty much the same as the English in that time period.
+dont care That's the beauty of this campaign, you can play out nationalist fantasies separate from the real world. I'm English but my favourite factions are Wales and Ireland. Scotland and Norway are fun too but their rosters are too similar to the Scottish/Danish rosters in the main campaign which I have already played to death.

I love it, Britannia has the best music but worst campaign out of the four but still good. Americas is my favorite or Teutonic but all good. Crusades seems most interesting as it is so tensed.
