Congratulation on the lovely Charles 1st sixpence, what a fantastic coin, and the chunk of silver if it tests as silver, could be hack silver bullion used for trading for hundreds of years. All the best from Wendy and Jon in Derbyshire

Just thought about the strip of metal you found as its possibly pewter, as lead would have bent on impact not snapped, but keep going it maybe gold next.
