IN THIS SERIES:
I attempt to survive a trek across the globe using only medieval technology and without pausing. This playthrough is with a modded Rimworld beta 18 campaign (mod list above).
Rimworld is a sci-fi colony sim driven by an intelligent AI storyteller. Inspired by Dwarf Fortress and Firefly. Generates stories by simulating psychology, ecology, gunplay, melee combat, climate, biomes, diplomacy, interpersonal relationships, art, medicine, trade, and more.
Note, this is Rimworld beta 18 and not Rimworld alpha 18, it's in beta now!

I wish I talked as much as you. You’re talking is the best part of this series. I don’t even watch the video (don’t know if that’s bad or not), I only listen to your voice. I myself don’t talk much in my own videos and I wish I could, I’m just not talkative due to my speech impediment (My Stutter) and as such I’m afraid to talk a lot of the time. Thanks for making these Rimworld videos, they are the best.

I can understand why this would cause some disconnect, I would feel the same were I told that. (or that people turn on videos to hear my voice to sleep to) If I want to play Rimworld, I will play it, and I can make emergent stories on my own quite successfully. What I cannot do is entertain, which you have a knack for, that would be a shame to decrease in my mind as well.

Glad to see the game back on the channel. I'm sure you're aware but killing Boomalopes of Boomrats on Arid Shrubland is actually not a bad thing. There's almost nothing to catch fire and your colonists with range weapons typically won't come to harm when killing them either. Only danger comes from if they go mad so they are probably a better option than say elephants or rhinos.

I just finished your alpha 17 Viking play through. I enjoyed it very much! I was honestly hoping you’d just put cleaning on a 1 this play through. Once you’re on top of it, it’s a minor task each day. It helps so much. Looking forward to this play through then on to the vampire one you just started.

I'm really excited that you're back in Rimworld! Your no-pause style is the most interesting way to play. Question: why do you have your stew tasks ordered with vegetable only before meat, won't you end up with lots of rotting meat while you happily cook rice stews?

Woo-Hoo - GREAT to see you back at Rimworld !! ((Shirley the rhinos were more dangerous than emu/ostriches??)) FWIW - the Animal Logic mod lets you rename critters given odd random monikers (like Carnation the warg?) - also lets you assign animal beds for each or as medical. Cheers !

Rhino hides have the best defensive stats after the thrumbo hide right? Well at least in the 1.0 build. I would not use it for bedrolls. Use other hides for them instead

Bit late but...unless you have a mod influencing it, jade knives are inferior to fists. Sell it immediately dont even equip it, its total trash but actually worth a bit

is there a reason why you aren't deconstructing walls? you get blocks and then can replace your wood walls with that stone and free up the wood for fires. Is there a roleplay reason for you not doing that?

It was because of the switch to B18 from A17. It would have been way too difficult to piece the modlist back together from third-party sources.

hey man, my only thing that I would see improve the quality of your videos is to research the mods and use them correctly. I find you overlook or forget ALOT of import aspects to the mods you are using and do the most inefficient thing which makes watching you a bit frustrating. As for the factions with guns, there is 2 mods you can use that you can download from Nexus that simply remove factions with weapons and remove space factions. You end up with a few factions on the planet but your enemies don't have guns. the mods are called "No Space Factions and No Factions With Guns. Let me know if you need me to link them

Hey thanks for replying. I did not imply you need to learn to play, you do that fine and I do enjoy watching you. Just giving you some feedback. If you need an example I would look at how to manage food. I've been watching your viking series and that was your weakness. You played alot so I am not going to give you specifics and that would be unfair to those who haven't watched your series. watch your videos if you don't believe me. Another example is how your colonists have joy. they are always miserable. I'm aware alot of stuff goes wrong and you had some nasty events in the past. The mods I was suggesting would keep Medieval factions intact which uses and carry's armor/swords ,etc.
