Medieval Scapini Tarot Pt. 1 (Deck Review) 

Really miss you, hope you’re well. I keep thinking about this deck and coming back to watch this video, so I’ve finally decided to order it.

Oh I love this deck!! I had to trim the newer version because it was stiff it hurt my hands and I had to make it smaller. I have an older edition and it's just a little more matte that makes shuffling and handling it easier and I agree with you, I prefer the older version. Even though some cards make me scratch my head a little (or laugh out loud) I love the artwork, it's just amazing.

My deck is U.S. Games copyright 1985. It doesn't have the double-image or blur problem you mention. Your deck version's colors are a LOT more intense than mine, making it easier to pick up on details. Thanks for going through the cards for me, so I could see what I'd otherwise missed. :-)

I order it after watching your video, actually Elle, you made me buy the Mary El ,the tarot of the Sidhe , you just make newbies fall in love with your love and enthusiasm ,thanks for sharing.

I bought this deck in 1989. It was my first deck. It was a bit overwhelming at first but I grew with it. It remains in my top 5 And I am on my 3rd edition. I feel like it's my "Dark side of the moon" tarot.

I have watched this video three times and I just finally ordered it! I will let you know how I go with it! I also bought the book thought if I am going to jump in I might as well do it the whole way! LOL. Love your videos Elle you do a wonderful job thank you.

I'm a total freak when it comes to buying tarot decks, I keep the box, the book and sometimes even the packaging it came with... I know, totally mental :)

I have this deck and love it. I tend to read it Marseille -style and I incorporate info for Ronald Decker's with the marseille-style.

I'm ordering the deck and book but I would love It more with golden gilding. You convinced me to actually order it. X

You've given me a new appreciation for this deck - thank you! I think I have the same version as you (looks the same to me, anyway) - mine is copyright 1985 printed in Switzerland by AGMuller for U.S. Games (Stamford CT). It came in the box with the cutout in the front. Not sure if that helps? I'd offer a copy of the LWB, but notice others have already done that ; )

I love the "intelligence" of this deck too. I was watching Christine and Celeste's tarot perspective, the first couple weeks she used this deck, and I was amazed at all the stuff in the minors! Also, just as a side note, this deck stars in a movie, called Dark Tarot...it's kind of a goofy b-horror movie, but it's definitely this deck.

I have this one. Mine is one of the more laminated, yellowy versions, but I love it anyway - now. Didn't use to! It sat unloved in a box for ages until just this summer, when I suddenly *got* it, and fell in love. 💗 I have the LWB and can absolutely send you pix of it, unless somebody's beat me to it. Okay PS if you love him you need the stained glass window tarot which he made with his daughter some cards amazing the symbolism incredible beautiful some mildly disturbing strength card in particular you need it( tarot Bulgaria) that's all I have to say for a lover of history and what I'm going to call religious mythological origin stories

While I love the traditional cards, I feel the change in styles in many of the cards he filled in is jarring... does not seem to speak with a continuous narrative voice, but jumps incomprehensibly... that is my first impression...

Have you seen that Jodorowsy has a new film coming out next month? Poeisa Sin Fin. The trailer makes it look like every indie trope evar... until you realize Jodo INVENTED all those tropes...
