MEDIEVAL VILLAGE- 'LA ROMIEU', GERS-GASCONY. FRANCE VAN TRIP, SEPT 2021. 

Just a few minutes walk from our campsite is the medieval Village of 'La Romieu'. Known for it's UNESCO church site- 'Collegiale St. Pierre', with it's cloister and towers.
It is also known for the legend of 'Angeline's cats', who rescued the village from a scourge of crop eating rats in the 14th century. Carved stone cats can be spotted all over the village.... if you look closely!!
