Well i think the first one captured the creepyness more, but i like the changes they made to this one, and still were so accurate that there's barely a difference to the gameplay
It really is a shame that rather than sticking to the dark humor of the original they made it more cartoonish. The original was perfect: Dark humor (almost everybody took a shot at the hero's past or present state). original and unique bosses (including a crystal demon, a giant pumpkin, and a queen ant). Each level was creepy in a different way (remember fighting in an asylum?) The only bad thing about it was the platforming. But this "resurrection" seemed to not capture the original's magic.
Medievil for the PS1 was the first game I bought by myself with money I saved up. Sure I had to get my older brother to help me buy it cause the cashier said I was too young to purchase it, but meh, she couldn't stop me from playing it once I got it home! Always a fond memory that no remake could ever tarnish.
Really?, the original freaks you out... really? Are you serious, i felt this game same as the original, and with more comedy, but i have to agree that they put low difficulty on this game.......
It's not about ripping things off, it's about quality and presentation of the games. With conker you don't know if is shit or not if you play it, and even for people that never played BFD it was dissapointing. This game is just terrible, not for the overload of stupid jokes, but for the game itself too. Some areas are too small to move around freely. Too linear, you don't have chance to explore or screw around.
Conker Reloaded was just the same game but with new graphics and censorship(more than in the original game) This game, is just terrible, not only in the "kid friendly" part, but in the HUGE modification of the story. In this game they made Dan look like a wuss. And that stupid, annoying, pointless and retarded imp in Dan's skull. OMG, that thing can't stfu for like 1 minute. The music and the enviroment of the levels are just crappy. I know this is a PSP game, but man, they really fucked up this
Let's end this now...YES it looks cartoony and Disney like, we have covered that to the point where you'd be stupid for pointing it out anymore. And YES, it's not as good as the orginial but it has more clear, sharp image and everyone made a big deal out that when Sly Cooper came out for PS3 so why complain about it? Personally, I think this game is kinda of like Conker Reloaded, funny and adequate
This is just a major let down...Thats the problem with nowadays...All Kid based and Sh*t like that,.."Hahahaa, This is a good game because it has lols" Yeah Right! This abomination has rendered the image of the Original MediEvil game in tattered, It has rent it in twain and left it for the Carrion Birds...For shame Game makers you have done a absolute PATHETIC Job of remaking a once (And still is) Great game, You cannot tamper with perfection!
@usblog You can't improve perfection, Nostalgia is nothing to be sniffed at. Also...The original mediEvil was made -years- ago, in the times of low graphics, low memory and high entertainment. They couldn't add too much of a backstory otherwise they would have made it a 2 disc game, Just because something is new and technologically advanced does not mean it is neccisarily -good-
@aballasanthem the reason why this is is probably explanitory in the tittle ressurection wat do u get on a game when this word is used probably befor zarok went to his burnt looking eww self he was in the ps1 wich probably means this happend befor the sequals hope the explanation help and hope im right
@usblog we dont like that they remade it no. i dont think it needed that much story, it looks too cute and cartoony and has lost all the dark humour of the original. the characters are really annoying, especially the little imp thing in his ear. they turned it into a little fairy tale story.
Nothng on the medievil 1 cutscene :/ Id love for a remake of medievil but they just wont stick to the originalities of the game, theyd try to make it better and more "modern" whch i dont mind but when they seem to class modern as a kind of haunted mansion vibe its just horrible
I'm not saying it isn't fucked up because yeah... that imp was a retarded idea (even for kids) and wouldn't shut up (like Link and that fairy) but no point of ripping a new one off of a dead horse :P
T_T, Why the hell did they get rid of the Asylum ground stage, I loved all them puzzles:( And they changed the look of some zombies. AND THEY GOT RID OF CRYSTAL CAVES, THE BEST STAGE IN THE ENTIRE GAME!

true true but it would be fun if u could go back and do that war with Zarok lol then again the main story of Medievil would need 2 be greatly extended for the PS3
psx version is more coolser i liked psx version much better but psp v. looks more realistic and not gothic style (like psx) so i didnt liked it at all (
