"Medley (Stormy Monday Medley, Stormy Monday, She's Putting Something In My Food)" - Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Bobby Rush, Johnnie Taylor Listen Now: malaco.lnk.to/XfnoKID
My name is Marty. I’m a 70-year old attorney and I live in Louisville Kentucky. The first time that I saw Bobby “Blue” Bland he was the opening act for B. B. King. My girlfriend turned to me and said “some men have bedroom eyes. He has a bedroom voice.”
I'm 39 years old and there is something special between my gas mileage and listening to JT while driving to Mississippi on i20 to I55 from Ft worth,TX. It feels like I can get over 30 mpg while doing 85.
I was 70yrs old on July 18th this year 2022. I was born in Arkansas and lived there until I was 16. I used to sneak down in the bottom where black folks came to on a Saturday to the 2 juke joints. This performance by 3 legendary singers bring back old memories.
That hug between Bobby Rush and Bobby "Blue" Bland was from the heart -- they were very, very close friends. Bobby Rush said that they'd talk on the phone nearly every day. Two of the original "Blues Brothers" by any and every standard. RIP Bobby Bland and JT, and blessings and best wishes to Bobby Rush.
@@jazzmanchgo Sometimes when you have a deep admiration for such great music it just seems that you relate & connect I guess I might it thought you knew them by the way you wrote with the feeling that you might have known them ,
@@mariaruge3918 Thank you so much. I do try to write with feeling -- in fact, I am an author, and I worked with the late, great Denise LaSalle on her autobiography, 'Still the Queen." She and Bobby Rush were great friends, and in the book she tells some wonderful stories about him!
Yes indeed these blues gentlemen's is so amazing,I met Mr. Rush in Fordyce Ark.,my daughter The ChinaDoll danced in a couple of his exciting shows,he sent me a autogragh book,I love me some Bobby Rush,he is so humble and kind.
. . . prayers and blessings to him -- he caught the COVID-19 virus, but he's doing much better now. He's past the crisis, and he's looking forward to getting back out here again. Can't keep the "Chicken Heads" man down!!

This be true OG's right here. I couldn't get into straight up Blues when I was young. But now that I done lived some life I know what these bruhs is talking about. Black American music makes the world go round.
My stepfather had a Johnny Taylor album back in the 70s. That's where I knew him from. Several years ago I started looking up Johnny Taylor songs most of which I'd never heard. I watched videos of his live performances. I didn't appreciate his talent back in the 70s when I was a teen but I sure admire and appreciate it now.
Man,this is Blues Royalty at it's Finest!!!!! Thank God my Father played the Blues for me as a Baby,Toddler(All My Damn Life)!!!! I thank him for that,he's 81 and I'm 41!!! Thinking about sitting on his lap as a 3Year-Old in his L.T.D.!!!!!

You know what you stated was Perfect, we no longer have those type of clubs for us to Escape our Bizarre world 🌎🌍 , Where we can sit, relax, unwind and reflect on the day, month, year and not be inundated with Cell phone ringing, chiming, messaging, iPad, lights distraction or stupid idiots shooting into the Club. I miss those we had those all over Chicago,
