Actually none! That is one huge benefit with this style of hauler. On our near 4000 mile trip we averaged 27 mpg with this behind us. Keep in mind our van is AWD and rated for 25 mpg. Thanks for stopping in!

Quick question regarding assembly. Would you recommend or consider reversing the standard screws on the bracket so the bolt end sticks out from the inside of the basket? I’m thinking about the bolt end rubbing against the waterproof bag causing an abrasion. …long term.
How much does the rack weigh? The receiver on our travel trailer is rated for 150lb. I have 2 inverter generators weighing about 55lbs each when filled with gas. I really like this rack but am concerned I'll be over the weight and that will likely bounce around and not be safe. Thoughts?
So far so good, no mechanical issues so far. It did however start to show some rust but it was also exposed to some road salt and was not wash off overly well. Overall still happy with the purchase! Thanks for stopping in!
I just put this together earlier today. When installed in the hitch, I noticed it tilts slightly toward the vehicle. Is that normal? I double checked and everything is put together correctly.
