Tubeless is the future. The machining on the Meepo wheels is top notch. I was so impressed with the ride quality and performance I order two sets for my sponsored riders. One thing to keep in mind is you need to keep an eye on tire pressure. They tend to lose pressure faster than tubed tires. Looking forward to receiving the Meepo Hurricane Ultra with gear drive!

if they used white lithium grease in that gearbox you could always replace it with red-n-tacky. Would make the gears a small bit quieter and the gears would last longer.
Maan you gotta try out the Evolve Hadean on street wheels :D I guess its the same if u hook streets on the Hurricane but the remote brings a whole new level of fun to the game of eskate. Evolve have smashed it with that and as I never go over 40-45kmh on streets the top end speed limit of 50-60kmh is fine for me.. but you get there in 2seconds which is so nutty
Meepo needs some help with marketing terribly. Offer a bamboo deck but put TKP trucks on it rather than DKP so it doesn't carve as it should. Already lots of gear failures and they have little to no response when contacted. All around they drooped the ball.
You can choose what you want on your board. It is like ordering a custom burger. It would be nice to be able to select the remote. For my hands, the original V4 remove is easier to hold. The warranty service is getting significantly better. Recently my 100 amp ESC burned out and my motors started clicking. It does take time. It would be nice to have an individual in the United States that could handle warranty issues. This would get riders back on their boards faster.
Only downside on the tubeless is the price. It’s $95 per tire on sale, $110 normally. Less expensive to just buy their tubeless wheel set rims and pulleys included
It's Slower Than The Original Hurricane, I Have The Same Exact Version. It's Rides Smooth And When A Tire Is Flat It's Still Stable!! That's a win. I hope they put the 100amp esc in it because the top speed makes me wanting more. I opened up the esc and exposed the motor wires and they are proprietary connectors which is fine. They need thicker gage wires or bigger motors. It is silky smooth to ride.
Awesome review, Dru. Love my meepos as well - I've got two v4 Shuffles and now the Ultra with the exact same set up as you have however, winter lasts until May here so no riding for me lol
