Also replacing the reverse kingpin truck with a double kingpin truck up front will stretch out the wheelbase and make the ride more stable not to mention give tons more wheel clearance up front to pretty much eliminate any wheel bite worries.

I have a Mini 2 ER and it's still a monster after 3 years. 100 mm PU sleeves on the back are absolutely a MUST HAVE. Just waiting for something better than mine to come out and this ain't it.

The angled riser pads seem to be backwards. Turning them around will make it turn alot quicker with a sharper Turning radius although you might lose a little bit of kicktail leverage. If anything you can leave the rear riser as it is and just turn around the front riser that way you still have that great kicktail functionality.

Or if you don't mind redrilling your deck like I do you can mount the rear trucks a little forward to increase the length and leverage. Just putting it out there for possible options for that perfect board feel.

I was reading the specs - ya that's crazy wide - What's the wheelbase on this? Tail length? That info isn't on their website. I've considered getting a mini board for short trips to the store but hate every deck by every eskate company. No nose is a no -go.

@@mainwon It seems like it yeh, I am still waiting for mine to arrive tho, its been 3 months. But from what I can see, the motors in the Mini 5 have been downgraded by 40 watts each, the trucks are more unstable due to riser pads, the price is the same, and the weight hasn't changed much. Only pro is aesthetics, Idk if the 5th gen shredder trucks are any stronger than the ones on the 2s though, I would say the mini 5 would likely get shipped out to you faster, cus my experience with the 2s has taken for ever.

@@mainwon Also the remote now has no screen which sucks, part of the fun of eskating is all about speed, so not knowing how fast u are going isn't great. the remote batteries last for ages. Used to ride the teamgee H20mini and that was epic. Broke due to water damage tho. I am going to silicon seal the mini 2s battery and ESC compartments to be safe. Reckon u should too

3 airlines that i know of allow up to 160wh. american airlines, delta and jetblue. most are under 99wh requirement. i totally forgot to put this in

Here it is "You can pack personal devices that have lithium batteries of less than 100-watt hours in your checked and carry-on bags. However, we don’t allow devices like e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers or power banks (including those installed in “smart bags”) in checked bags. You can’t pack loose lithium batteries in checked bags. For loose lithium batteries in carry-on bags, you must individually protect each one to prevent short circuiting. To do this, you can place each battery in original retail packaging, separate plastic bags or protective pouches. You can also insulate the batteries by taping over exposed terminals. Spare batteries can’t touch metal objects like coins, keys or jewelry. Take steps to prevent crushing, puncturing or putting pressure on the battery as well. Additionally, we allow up to two lithium batteries larger than 100 watt-hours but not exceeding 160 watt-hours to be packed in carry-on baggage only. The terminals of any packed lithium batteries must be properly covered and insulated. If you’re traveling with a powered wheelchair or mobility device, please see our wheelchair assistance while traveling page."

Brakes not even needed ..if you arent already a skateboarder i wouldnt recommend starting on this thing but it rips and is a blast to ride .have seen few reviews from actual skaters trying it out and folks that havent spent years learning to fall and eating shit skating street might wanna try a longboard first or get to where balance is second nature. Best electric board for the money out there by far

Wow - looking at the base of the deck, even the pattern on it is ripped off from the old Boosted. Meepo is making some really interesting stuff but it's hard to ignore their entire design aesthetic appears to be "Do exactly what Boosted and Evolve do but change the logo". That just leaves a bad taste, for me. (Note I said *design aesthetic* - I am aware Boosted wasn't a hub drive board and there's *technical* differences. This just feels like early Samsung days, where they basically just copied the iPhone design and I am not a fan of it).

To be fair, this is pretty much the same shape as meepo's mini 2, just with added wheel cutouts and a bare wood finish

@@guitarwi3rdo even the "half grey" aspect under the board, and the shape of the grey section is straight up cut and paste from the Boosted Stealth range. The Hurricane deck might as well just be a Hadean deck with some sharpie written "Meepo" over the top of the Evolve logo. Right down to the cut ins and positioning of the dips.

@@guitarwi3rdo "taking what works" is one thing. Straight up, unashamed IP theft is another. I mean, they couldn't even be bothered changing the colours! Yes, they're doing interesting things and I am so impressed the way they've gone from being kind of cheap junk to being a really good low cost option - but this whole "Samsung iPhone theft" vibe all their designs give me just turns me off. Still a great video though and you're totally free to not be bothered by the same things I am. :)

Not sure what this video recommends, but DO NOT BUY MEEPO. I have been a customer for 5 years, there ESC randomly stops working, causing extremely dangerous situations when you suddenly cant break! They used to be good with customer service, but after telling them about this issue they completely left me out to dry. The company has gotten too big it would seem, the days of dealing with a passionate skateboarder are gone. Completely profit driven with no support, and faulty dangerous boards. I have always recommended Meepo, but I will never buy from them again! Removing their sticker from my helmet as we speak, the only thing with their name on it that actually works.

I think it's about time these Chinese companies started playing with wheel colors, it would at least be nice to have some white ones so customers can think about dyeing some cheap wheels As for the riser: angled riser pads are pretty popular in the downhill scene, gives riders the option to wedge their trucks for more angle or DE-wedge for less angle (most riders want more angle on the front for better turn-in and less on the back for more stability. It looks like meepo tried to DE-wedge the back truck to compensate for the angle of the kicktail but didn't think to cut the pad to match the shape at the end, that looks about where the gap is coming from
