That is a very bright lady very very tenacious about everything she does.Keep it up AKP just don't relent.Just as I keep telling the young ones this is your moment because the bridges has already been built for you.Every country that you go to please let papers be your`first goal before anything else.At least now you have a lawyer one of our own on your side just go grab her.Do not think of building MANTIONS home when you don't have papers just set your priorities right. This a land of opportunities just go get it yourself it's not automated to come to you.God bless Ghana and the USA home of the brave and land of the free.
There are other impeding factors such as immigration status. This lady entered with solid immigration status. She didn't just come by visa. She had all support ..Hmmmmmm, everyone's story is different..
but when you have your green card after the 2 year you can apply for citizenship in the next 3 years not necessarily has to wait for 5 -10 years,I guess
I am not sure black folks don't study/pursue law programme/profession because of the length of time or how demanding or difficult or how expensive the programme is. Medical schools and PhD programmes may be much more demanding than law, but black folks still pursue these programmes. There are a lot of black folks in more challenging programmes (than law) such as the physical sciences. Just think about this, if the law profession in US has a lot of incentives for blacks, a lot of Nigerians or Ghanaians or blacks will pursue the profession no matter how challenging or expensive or long it takes to become a lawyer in US. Why, because they know they will make it after overcoming the hurdle... Becoming a medical doctor in US takes a considerable number of years and money (much more than what a lawyer will spend), but because being a medical doctor/specialist in US is quite rewarding, there are a lot of Ghanaians and Nigerians and other blacks in that profession.... The bottom line is that being a black attorney in US doesn't pay much so folks usually are not interested in going to that direction.
