MEET and GREET WITH SWIM COACH ALEX OUT OF BOCA RATON, FL! 

I have learned so much from watching Jacob’s video’s. I am so thankful for them. I wanted a different approach from how I learned to teach in the early 90’s. I like both approaches to teaching (ISR and gentle but firm teaching). I push the kids beyond their comfort zone but I think it’s so important to have them trust you. You have to be honest with them. I have one kid who doesn’t like going under water. He asks me every lesson if he’s going under. I tell him he will go under x amount of times and that I will tell him when he is going to go under. I keep it to that many for that lesson. He is trusting more and more each lesson. He is now able to put his face in the water for longer and not grab me while he’s trying to swim.
