I love the way you show him love and cuddles, play with him to make him laugh, and even make the effort to speak his language. It shows that you have a real understanding of what is important to him, and that you're focused on providing that.
In the context of their endangerment, the hunting of them by indigenous populations becomes an issue. But indigenous populations have carried on those traditions for likely thousands of years without issue. Thus the real problem is the deforestation/habitat destruction caused by the insatiable profit drive of transnational corporations, and the system of capitalism-imperialism that supports it. I just think it's short sighted and unfair to focus on the indigenous people hunting them - kinda like complaining of water waste from a dripping faucet that's been left on for a few minutes when there's a fire hydrant next door that's been busted open and spewing for weeks.
I once raised a wooly monkey to adulthood. He grew into a strong adult that could be very destructive to furniture, despite his huge caged area of the house. Eventually he was relocated to a preserve with a female wooly. I visited him regularly. He had a larger enclosure and was happy with his companion. This is the inevitable outcome of monkeys as pets
We had one when I was about 12 years old, he was a baby when we got him and he lasted a few years ad got sick from a cold and passed. All he wanted to do is be with us and not in his cage. All my old friends remember him. It was so great.
You guys are doing a wonderful job !!! This looks like so much fun...what a little treasure he is . Keep up your great work ! This is a beautiful video...thank you
Wonderful news that there is sanctuary for them. You are such a natraul about being in tune with this little baby monkeys needs! MARCH ON !!! SOLDIER!!! THANK YOU !!
I mean, they just look so sad and helpless all the time it’s like they’re always saying “nooooo dooonnnnt!!!”. Also, that lady was definitely talking to that monkey, that was kinda unexpected
we had one in the 1960's...he only lasted 5 years...his name was actually, Troubles, but then Monkin....if you don't know how to care for them, it can be tragic for the monkey...but it sure brings back memories.
Thank you very very much Monkey World for your dedication to taking responsibility for the care of these animals, a responsibility very few humans are willing to burden themselves with. Your use of humane captivity is an outstanding example of uniquely-human altruism. I hope that to this day that you are doing well, in addition to your monkeys as well.
Thank you for your lovely heart ♥️ for watching over these little monkeys God’s creation all the animals the Lord expects us to take care of them they cannot fend for themselves thank you again.
He is so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys are doing an amazing job. I hope that the zoos gives you their females to grow the population of these truly majestic monkeys. So again I thank you for your hard and dedicated word. Until then, stay safe, good luck and Godspeed to one and all
you are so loving with him. i always believe that's how they would grow the best. i never understood the people who belle I the clinical setting with masks and gowns and no affection. your awesome.
It's good to see you on RU-vid Alison, someone who actually knows how to treat baby monkeys, (and adults) and not posing them for the cameras. These people in Cambodia are only doing it for the money, and make the babies do "stuff" that's not natural for them. I do feel quite sorry for the poor monkeys as the people are making them do un-natural things for the cameras.
OMG! So cute. I want to work there. I love monkeys but I am in the USA so I only get to see them in a few zoo's in California or on you tube. I would love to help take care of them.
What do you think of people owning monkeys as pets ? I'm confused I can see if the mom doesn't want them but for people who watch RU-vid videos then want their own monkey so they go to a breeder I am disgusted with it at the moment. So I wanted your opinion
