Meet Coco, the bonito fish preying on a school of menhaden fish. This is the calm before the storm as the waters are crystal clear in the NY Atlantic Ocean. I followed this striped bass for a good 8 minutes mesmerized by her movements and interactions. The menhaden bait ball fish tightened their school and quickly evaded the striped bass in glimmering unison. Taken just off the coast of Southampton, NY USA 9/8/23
