@Bud Smith An education reform is definitely necessary as well, I agree with you on that. Schools should be teaching useful lessons that can be applied to life in America
Regardless understanding life from multiple perspectives gives you a better understanding of yourself, reading and the humanities make this possible. Not all education is bad
Bud Smith do you suppose it’s possible for one to become a student of the humanities and real history in America and from that find accountability in life?
Anthony Jemison My G I’m Stuck Right Tf Now. I Beat My Cases But Daaaaaaamn This Shit Brings Back Nostalgic Times Of Being Where He Is / Mentally Was 😪 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Free Curtis
marcus cook a old dog CAN learn new tricks. hopefully this man (who clearly is no longer a threat to society) will be released and he can teach and spread his hard learned knowledge.
Patience Aurelien As a vessel, a voice or a positive force, we are still deemed as gm hazardous because of our own humanitarian works BACK into our communities. So this is the reason why the refuse to release Ol€ Curty-BO. So thanx for ur support our Luvn Angels 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
He educated himself godbless him. I'm so proud he accomplish something positive very smart man. Yes sell and buy. He very smart. Free him we need him out here.
ProdByWalkz I'm certain he is now for the most part. Niggas understand what he can potentially do for them, so the ones with sense a make sure he stays upright to do so when needed.
#EdMemphis I would agree to disagree. I would say he's protected because of other inmates jealousy. Being in a prison of this caliper, a lot of lifers would envy the special privileges he's had.
SidewaysInTraffic Yeeea. That's kinda why I used the terms "Most Part" & "The Ones With Sense." That's if one has read my comment FULLY before replying
He should set up his own investment firm and do seminars! I don't think Goldman Sac's want to pay him what he's really worth! You know how theg do us!!
Bill Adams that's the reason your watching because you are interested in what this Niger ( i.e. beautiful black Africa) has to say! Thanks for viewing! Also, some dummies misspelled Niger and used it to insult but did you know that the Europeans kept asking the Nigerians that they captured what does Niger mean, and they were being told the definition, but still they could not figure it out so they made up a word. Talk about stupidity!!! I would be embarrass if I was you. But I guess you believe it's a demeaning word huh? It's not a word. 😂😂😂😂😂😳😳
financial literacy: "...if you can manage what you eat, if you can manage your time, if you can manage your relationships, you can manage money…it's trying to get people to understand a certain level of management as opposed to trying to develop some sort of skill."
flytii This is the part that captured me and when the bells started ringing. I had to pause the video and grab my pen and paper because I recognized the message within.
This part of the interview is where he crossed the barrier for me and transcended time and space. His message reflected the catalyst message for those who needed to hear it.
As a young black man still trying to learn his way, this video is an eye opener and what I call a blessing. The knowledge is very appreciated and I really hope he gets out and live it up to the fullest in peace and enjoyment. 🙏🏾✊🏾💪🏾
This interview, and Curtis' story, is nothing short of incredible. Curtis has a gift, and thank God he has chosen to use that gift to give back to the community. I can't wait to see what he will do when he is freed.
GKB 001 he’s up for a hearing this year and most likely they’re gonna either let him out or cut a good amount of time off this sentence due to how productive he’s been inside
AS did you know in the 90ies early 2000s a law was passed and inmates can not make money anymore "off their crime" or i believe in anyway in prison. Im about 99% sure that includes writing a book pertaining to his life, or even finance for that matter. If he writes a book a lot of the profits will go to the victims family 😞 he wont get any money from it.
His story is so honest. Sooo much of what he said is exactly how black men in this country walk around thinking everyday. Some just don't become enlightened like he has through education. That growth in him mentally is BEAUTIFUL. I cried, happy for him. His arrival to himself despite circumstances.
This is exactly what I went through I was incarcerated luckily only 2 years. My celly taught me about the financial markets and business structure and we would talk about it all night long and go over penny stocks in the wall street journal and going over tax liens deals as a business opportunity extension. I then got out and learned to trade options as penny stocks were too risky then I learned forex which trades all around the clock. I started llc which was product based and failed but it taught me the structure. I learned about corporations and their ability to set up one easily. I taught my brother how to start his own construction business and get it creditable through a duns number and how to open a business bank account. The base of all my self taught education came from prison and wanting to better my life for me and my family. A lot of my friends ask me where did I learn all this stuff and I tell them prison and that just reinforces my thought process that anyone can go after it if they want it bad enough. I only look to successful people or people that strive for success I don't watch dumb videos of people on facebook fighting or stuff that is a waste of time. I don't talk about people, I give them the benefit of the doubt. There's so much more I want to say but to everyone out there that's struggling and wants to learn something different I do recommend stocks and currency, you can build it into a business. and possibly be financially free with patience. just remember this" patience + persistence = profits". thanks curtis for sharing your story I came acrossed it look for successful people and you're in my list.
Stevie Simmons. I've been into Cryptocurrencey for over a year now, if you can get some Bitcoin Cash too, there is plenty other coins I can recommend. But I don't like doing that honestly.
55 year old Maurice Johnston lives in Boston, by way of Cleveland. He has a Masters Degree in Plasma Physics from Dartmouth College, and a masters in Electrical Engineering and acoustics from Purdue University. He's worked over 10 years at Lockheed Aerospace & Aerodyne Research Corp. Maurice has taught in Science and physics, and took care of both his parents in their time of need. Maurice is very well spoken, (he sounds like Obama) and is very kind, so why is Maurice homeless.....
I have a masters from Harvard and no job in Boston either. Liberal Boston is as racist as anywhere in the deep south. You must create your own opportunity if educated and black in Boston, else you may starve!
This guy is amazing ...I wish him well and an early release. He deserves a chance to change the world and change the way people think. This by far is one of the best interviews I stumbled upon on youtube.
he had a chance. he blew it. he murdered someone. HE MURDERED SOMEONE. i wish it would have been your brother or sister or parents. then see if you still think hes amazing and if you want him to have an early release.
I met him during a prison tour. I can tell you that this guy is brilliant. there are other guys who are also brilliant. him and other inmates gave us the tour and that was mind blowing. these guys write newspaper articles, do everything...they are the fruit of the rehabilitative model.
There many who are out now. Its hard to see them bc of worldly teaching as in religion,tv period, people cant elevate if been to prison. Wish i had help as in if i presented away to make money forever somebody backed me. Blk people awaking no offense to other people of color. U should b excited for that bc people of color awayz more fair and more aggressive to what they pursue. Help us. There are MANY ready to direct there focus!! If a person of higher level contact me i will explain. $$$level im on bottom level my ideas are always big spending but payout 10× what is spent. BAL1NG9
You can see that Sway is genuinely impressed, honoured, and in awe of how Curtis has transformed himself. As am I, it's a truly inspirational transformation story that more people in the prison system, and outside of it need to hear. I hope the brother gets out this year, so he can actualize his dreams, I think he's posts his debt to society and he deserves it.
@F U Money u said it urself, u didnt made dumbass dicisions because you had other options to feed urself.. im sure ur mother was not a crack addict , im sure u didnt have to do burglaries to steal cereal.. that dude is smarter than both of us and still he is the one in prison.. im sure u didnt grew up half as cold as he did.. it is obv that in america there are alot of ghettos where you only get teached one way.. be happy that u didnt grew up child traumatized because it is more than "i just didnt make dumb ass decisions" trust me
@F U Money u dont get the complete picture.. ofc murder isnt right, but u dont understand one thing.. u always say u made the right decisions instead of the wrong.. u always had options.. there are thousands who dont have a choice.. how did u get food when ur family was so poor ? im pretty positive u didnt do burglaries for cereal. im pretty sure u grew up poor and not traumatized.. murder is never the right thing to do, but u dont understand that people could have had it worse than u.. if anything 11 kids means there was enough food and stability to make such a big familiy.. you grew up around poor people but not the wrong people..
@F U Money this is not about justification.. ofc murder isnt right.. but u act just because u grew up poor u know what it is getting born into a gang.. ur mom was no crack addict.. there is a big difference between a poor mom and a crack mom trust me.. and im sure u didnt saw people get killed as a kid etc! im sure u had some kind of impact to get you out of that thing u called ghetto and were not traumatized and made numb by ur surroundings.. fact is there are tons of real ghettos in the usa were people get killed on a daily for no "real" reason from ur point of view ..where u would have gang tatoos by the age of 14 or even earlier.. but yeah u would have done the right choices in those shoes right? i dont justify it, but there are really dark places were people are born cold af in this world.. i dont believe that any normal kid would kill someone if tought right.. this guy is way to smart now to do any of the things he did as a kid.. if u would be born into a real ghetto family in a real dark place, there are very slim chances u would type to me here, but would have killed someone alrdy.. i dont justify it at all.. but man u americans can get guns as easy as candy, then u sepperate poor from rich, and black from white, and wonder why this world is like this.. i can put myself into their shoes and see why their world is alot more brutal than ours, thats all.. dont be ignorant and compare urself to a murder and say i didnt do those poor choices. u dont know nothing about the world he was born into trust me
I just had to pause it at 54 years to life at the age of 17. My, my, my. Such a sad, sad story. But you can see in his eyes and his demeanor that he is a very intelligent young man. Just so incredibly sad.
This man is beyond words, a true inspiration to young people born into terrible situations. We ALL need second chances and Curtis has earned his. Respect
It's as if he did nothing at all. god did it. Yeah? It didn't take him years of introspection, consideration of his surroundings, developed motivation, those who perceived his value and assisted him, studying, his actual movement...? I hate hearing these nonsense statements. It's essentially, "we are worthless. God did it." devaluing the greatness people through human exertion have achieved, glossing over it like nothing. This nonsense should be stopped. You're watching Curtis, here, not god. Help, support, encourage the guy. Smh.
My deepest sympathy to misunderstanding of the mind although the Man is behind the wall his mind is more powerful then money and everyone desiring that knowledge. Educational is the key. I would love to have him share that knowledge with me. He's the Financial Guru of Wall Street although he their for an interview he getting knowledge. Check facts he:s self made Guru of finance behind the wall and everyone wants him.
Bruh, this is one of the best interviews, , motivational, encouraging stories I’ve ever heard. Brotha said Warren Buffet is his Michael Jordan! So many other brothas could be on his level if they used half of their brain power that they’ve been using to right raps, and shifted it to Law, Finance, Medical, Tech, you name it. It all requires the same energy, and in some cases less energy! Hell of an interview here!
Empty statement cos the who video was excuses and blaming the system or someone else. So many young men grow up in poverty without robbing and murdering, it's only very recently they stopped capitol punishment for this globally, so business is booming atm cos jail is easy.
"Financial literacy is one of the biggest issues that plague our society." I think the person who wrote this meant: "Financial ILLITERACY is one of the biggest issues that plague our society."
Either way said it’s still something LACKED in the Black community. Either you know it or you don’t. And those whom do know it keep the information. Don’t share it unless the knowledge is being sold. OR those whom don’t know it or take the time to learn it never learn it and make mistakes later down the line that can cost them thousand one even millions!?
Keep the homie in, he admitted to 1st degree murder. But I, hella, fuck with his mindset and point of views. He’s getting out in 11 years, still under retirement age, and will come out & soon after he will be making multi-millions. I’m on my way there too, so I HOPE to be in the same businesses this brotha is in in 10 years. I’m 20, so by the time I’m 31 I am most definitely going to be a millionaire doing business with this man
I want to be part of the solution. I have over 22 years in finance and didn’t realize until a few years ago how rare that was. I’ve gone to the communities and helped twelve 11-19 year old kids understand, create, run and earn income from a business and product they created. I’m in the midst of creating an online school where individuals can create a course based around their talent, skill or trade, regardless of their degree or background. Mr. Carroll and his story always fires me up!! However, I felt him when he spoke of the pressure he feels about getting out, how he wants the opportunity to experience life and not being sure of where to start. He is in deed a phenomenon who can and will find his place in helping the communities but, it’s gonna take us all to help and do. Let’s give him a hand in making a smooth transition back into society, allow him to feel freedom and let’s help as best we can to contribute any way we can to educate, protect and lovingly hold each other accountable. Just like Mr. Carroll, we all have gifts, talents, and good stuff inside us. Sometimes we just need someone to pull the good stuff out of us. I’m tired of seeing the gifts of my brothers and sisters killed, stifled and locked away. We got us, never forget that. We built, created, farmed, reared, and were brilliant long before the mission to make us feel otherwise. How many of us here will find just one way to use their gifts as tools to help shape the next generations, to help heal the current generation and honor our older generations? How will you contribute? We got us, never forget that❤️
FindmeKicksUK GOD bless the child that got his own, so the Bible says and it's still news... them that got shall have, them that not shall want. Now you go do good and have some to give.
What an inspiration. Owning up to his mistake and looking for a way to atone for it no matter how impossible it is. That's how it is. Life can be so complex
RightWay that young man by daughter went in at the age 19 for a fight for using a box cutter and the girl that still alive right here today and she still in prison
Bruh doing all this behind the walls , making moves. I'm free and barely surviving, time to change up if he could do it I could do it we all could do it . Very inspirational ..good interview. Free Wall Street.
They do , they just don’t take advantage of it. Didn’t you just listen to the interview. He mentioned their raised with hatred in their heart to hate the white man and all it they represent.🤦🏻♂️
@@Blitzonu01 I know that that would be a convenient justification for the harsh reality that opportunity doesn't exist in the inner city, but the truth is the truth. Have you been to a school in, say, Oakland? San Francisco? If you're born on the bottom wrung as a child trying to meet your most basic needs to survive, you do not have the same opportunity as those living in suburbia.
Excuses...it took a warden to teach this man to pull his pants up and respect others. That alone gave the confidence for him to put a different angle on his God given talent. Did you hear him speak about any family role models? It's starts at home. Where the house is at doesn't matter.
There’s plenty of opportunities they don’t took a vantage of it. I was able to go to college and finish high school at the same time because of opportunities.
42:12: "I have never been this excited to be alive in my life"... I have never been this excited to be living. May God grant you your hearts desires. Blessings
Roger Drakes I agree, God is truly working right here. This man killed "once" but Paul in the Bible was a murderer/slaughter of many Christians. I tell people all the time if God could use Paul and the other killers in the Bible for the greater good; what alot are in jail for (especially those locked up 20 plus years for other crimes like drugs) is observed. The Most High is the judge and jury at the end of the day. Each One Teach One. Bless us all.
Stunna BadAzz it's a damn shame ur dumb ass is so blind.either u are a lower level thinking blk man. or a close minded racist white boy. either way I have to SMDH.
Curtis is definitely a hidden gem, I pray he is granted his freedom this year.. 2020.. I never really sat through a whole interview but I'm so grateful I did..
Great Interview Sway!!!! Really opened up my eyes to. Get back in these book's and start reading again. Also setting good examples for my kids to keep reading and get educated. And to Mr. Curtis "WALLSTREET" Carroll, thanks for the knowledge and great Inspiration. Salute my brother 🙌 see you @ a seminar soon.
That was one of the most educational, emotional, most powerful video I have watched. It got me gazing at the ceiling about life totally different. Pray that brother comes home soon.
this man has maintained his optimism through all this. ive been in prison 3 times, the first and second time i improved myself for my release, the last time broke me in a way, i haven't committed crime since, this man would not commit any crimes. he needs out
