I love it how you also present people’s stories and memories, the history that shaped or destroyed a place…and how nature takes over, soothing what’s left.❤
Incredible guide. The guy not only made it possible for you to communicate with the locals, he has such knowledge about the lands and is so eloquent in english that he really offered you a glimpse into the soul of the local people. And that made an amazing episode. The best one of this series so far, in my opinion.
Finding this channel in today's media hellscape is like finding the most beautiful hidden oasis in the middle of a planet sized waste dump. Thank you, boys!
Guys thank you so much! This brings me home. I remember as a child helping my grandparents around the farm like it was yesterday. If war had never ripped apart my country of Yugoslavia I would most likely have never had to leave. Puno vam hvala!
To me one your best explorations/expositions you have done in all your years. To be able to relinquish your leading role and allow yourselves the opportunity to seat on the passenger's seat seat for us during this journey and allow your very passionate and knowledgeable local guide to be on the driver's seat for all of us was the wisest decision you could have made! Kudos to you guys for doind this. It made this journey so much more worth seeing and enjoying it as much as you must have enjoyed it! On a side note, your guide deserves a huge acclamation as well. He seemed to know exactly what chords he needed to strike to make this not only an enjoyable documentary to watch but also one full of teachable moments!
Congratulations on your new National Geographic magazine publication! I knew National Geographic would be interested in your work! I knew it four yrs ago! This magical land and its hard working people could possibly be the last of this frontier!! Your amazing guide was very knowledgeable! Its so important to be able to communicate with the peoples language! Love your work!💕💕💕💕💕
Thanks a ton for your lovely feedback again! This book is a huge milestone for us and our work, in our opinion. It's a best of from our urbex story. We're happy to finally share this with the world!
@@bwturbex I simply can't wait to get my copy! I love all of ur work, and now that u are drifting away from Urbex, you are on your journey to greatness! Just never never forget where u came from!! 💕💕💕💕
Imagine that in the very beginning of human history, many centuries ago, all people were living similar to that, in pristine landscapes as well. What do you think about that?
@@bwturbexI’m all made up from mediterranean descent,,, am I saying that right? Italian and Greek with a little Japanese. I often just wonder how they lived life hundreds or even thousands of years ago, I think we all have curiosity. I wonder what they looked like and how they lived life. I wonder what their village was like. This was a beautiful video. The people were so welcoming and friendly. It was so clean and peaceful , and I wonder if I could be happier that way of living than what this I live now. I grew up in the 80s and 90s with minimal technology ( we were very poor) life seemed to go slower, time was slower. Since the 2000s , my life has passed me by so fast, so quickly that, I don’t know where the last 15 years of my life went. I just felt the serenity and the peace in your video ❤
Many thanks for this so incredible serie. So many things to think about our societies, nature and sense of life in general. Your channel deserves more views and be in open TV. Regards guys from MExique!!
@@bwturbex Congratulations. Joining the ranks of the world's preeminent geography and social/political sciences magazine. They used to produce an annual bound copy of all their issues for the year. Beautiful books. I have most years from 1925-1975 in my collection and a great resource to look at with amazing early technology colour photos.
Your tour guide is a good story teller. I didn't even realized that the video is already over as I got hooked with his narrative of the last, remaining nomads.
Wow what an amazing video, its so sad to know that this will be the last generation, technology has taken over which is such a pity because the nomadic way of life is absolutely beautiful
Thanks for responding ! We have been following you guys since the beginning .. Purchased a 2021 colander.. Mother and I am overthemoon Happy that through long hard work it all paid off... Take care and be safe ..
This was absolutely outstanding. So sad but again reality kicks in soon there will be no children to take our place. It’s already happening in Europe. Hasn’t started here in the United States but it will get here. You guys really did an outstanding job documenting this. Thank you so much. Cheers from LIZ in California.🐬😎🇺🇸
@@bwturbex Try both. I mean, it's not impossible. Do you know for example "Weit. Die Geschichte von einem Weg um die Welt"? Two germans traveled over 3 years around the world. They documented this journey. After returning they started a crowdfunding campaign and made a movie which is available as DVD. It also was shown in cinemas. They received a Filmpreis for it. Give it a try, i would definitely buy a copy 😎👍
I love this channel. Everywhere you go you give us so much insight into the history and culture, no matter what it is you are exploring. Keep up the amazing work.
I absolutely loved this video. It is so fascinating to see how others live. The scenery is just beautiful and the people so interesting. It gave me chills when your guide said their older brother doesn’t come very often anymore, to think that may be the last of them in the mountains. Stay safe out there!!
Living close to the land is a lost art yet so vitally important to sustain the enviroment. There will come a time in not to distant when people will want to know the survival skills. In some regard this vid reminds me of older folk living hard in remote areas of Iran. The future doesn't seem like a very loving or sane place to be. Congrats on the National Geo book! You guys are above and beyond the mainstream. Many blessings n Happy Trails. Thanks for taking us places not seen ordinarily on tv.
What a stunning film. Breathtaking photography, and a thought provoking story that makes you question your lifestyle choices. This episode felt a bit like Yes Theory, and that's no bad thing.
I think this is the most fascinating video I've ever watched on your channel. It was a real Joy to see a throwback to a different time and way of life. I am also glad that I didn't read captions all the way through. Since I am not a fan of captions. Personally to me this is your absolute best video ever... I think I have watched over a 100.
Thank you, Sandy! We enjoyed editing this episode so much. Sutjeska National Park is just beautiful, and there would be so much more to discover! We really want to show you more from there.
Thank you once again for an insightful & historical adventure. You guys do such an awesome job, connecting with the people who help you connect with other people who are willing to share their stories. Thank you so much for opening our eyes to a world beyond ours. Keep up the good work & stay safe & healthy. Godspeed 🕊
This has been fantastic but sad to watch, in the knowledge that these are probably the last people who will live in this way. Very skilled production from you both, thank you.
We human beings love human interest stories. That's why I particularly enjoy videos that include your personal experiences (camping, trekking, challenges, etc.) in your urbex videos. And this non-urbex human interest story is outstanding in its subject matter and your always-excellent presentation. Danke schön!
Meravigliosa testimonianza. Lavoro grandioso.
All I keep saying to myself... Denise that's what you want. The beautiful wild unclaimed forest ( but with some 21st century things). The forest offers peace, beautiful views and on and on. Your guide had so much knowledge and that makes for an awesome time. I try to catch them with a fact that they don't know. Lowl I was wondering that because it reminded me of how I know that certain families are treated differently because the other person knows that they have to take it or nothing. THE EPITOME OF SCAMMERS AND AWFUL PEOPLE
A very nice documentary, years ago i found ppl like these in France and Italy, sadly time will catch up with them, old customs never die but the ppl wil, and the young ones go to the city.
I did not want this one to end! What an amazing glimpse into a lifestyle that is so rarely seen or experienced today. You were so fortunate to find this guide. And we were blessed to be able to watch your sensitive and beautiful story. As always, I appreciate the respectful way you interact and represent another world, a new culture, and new history. What a stunning landscape. Poisonous snakes, bear claw marks, wolves howling… all in the first few miles! Wow! Amazing work guy!
Wow what an incredible episode! I love your channel, but bringing attention to this way of life, to these people and just a glimpse into some of the plight the modern culture has brought them is so much more important than anything you have ever done. It is imperative to capture in the history books, as you did…
We'll have to figure out with the publisher but we would love to. It would make a lot of sense, but it depends a bit on how successful the first one will be I guess.
Werdet ihr nochmal was "neues" hochladen?
* Marco & Till Thankyou ! Your channel is a shining example of what You Tube can be and why I'm more then happy to pay for the premium upgrade. You gents endure the hardships of living a backpackers life to show us places where generations of people made memories that would be lost if not for you bringing the locales to the forefront for us to visit with you. And now with your investigative endeavors into the people who are left like the abandoned structures you've shown us it completes the beauty of the vids you produce. If not for you all these places with they're memories along with the vanishing locals would be lost to the dim and dark past like tears in the rain. Thankyou ! 👊😎👍
I was surprised that the language is so similar to Bulgarian - I could understand many of the words and question of the guide. How wonderful that they are still there, following their tradition but sadly not for much longer. A truly magical place. Untouched and beautiful. I would imagine that they are far happier than 90% of people living a "modern" lifestyle. It amazes me how they got some of those materials there for the roofing on the first and second house. All that would have had to be carried there. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience.
