Io amo i gatti , sono spettacolari chi non li ama forse non li conosce e parlano x sentito dire da persone impreparate. Il gatto un animale molto antico adorato in tutte le civiltà del mondo.
I have a gorgeous sphynx boy. He’s the sweetest and smartest cat I’ve ever met. Extremely talkative and I swear he understands me when I talk to him. He can open doors and has a sharp memory. His best friend is a large tabby I adopted/rescued. They are like brothers it’s so cute ❤
Every time I see such sweet and cute cats, I realise how much I miss my two cats. They were 2 Norwegian Forest Cats. In my eyes, this breed is one of the best cats for beginners.
I don't know if she'll read this but the woman showing the Siberian was really well spoken and knowledgeable. It was very interesting to learn about that breed.
@hanss.5291 Thank you for your kind words! I'm obviously passionate about sharing how amazing Siberians are. So grateful @TheCatButler stopped by to chat with Ima & I.
I'm half and half on this.I've never in my life purchased a cat -only rescued from the street or shelters. But going to a cat show would be fun. However at the same time im trying to find homes for 3 beautiful rescue cats and people only seem to want specific breeds
@@parisinthe30sx I've had both but still wanted my dream kitties. Purebred especially ones most don't recognize or heard of are so rare, I'm afraid they'll disappear forever. It's mostly purebred dogs that are way way more common and numerous.
Sometimes it’s not about the breed, just to reduce the risk of exposure to toxoplasmosis and to have a specific personality that will deal well with toddlers.
@@Katherine-qs8ws getting a specific breed is no guarantee on temperament. I've had ragdolls that were mean as hell. Any cat could have issues with young children. My street cat was a protector for my nieces and nephews. She was very gentle with them. And as far as toxoplasmosis, they can only pass the eggs for two weeks after exposure. After that their immune system builds immunity, unless they have fiv. I have one that had toxo as a kitten. He's 17 and has had zero issues nor is he shedding it. That shouldn't be a reason not to get a street cat.
this video was sooooo amazing!!! thank you for taking the time to capture so many beautiful cats + interesting facts about them from the people who love them!
I'm here really for the Siberian cat, I adore them, such magnificent, rugged and beautiful babies, loving and smart but not too velcro like, and hypoallergenic which is ideal for me as an allergy sufferer. I'd love to have one, but can't sadly. I haven't been to a cat show for years, I used to show my cat art at them having a stall, so enjoyed looking at this show here very much. Theres nothing wrong with having a breed cat, of course adoption is important too, but sometimes you just need a certain breed for health reasons or compatibility as you know more or less what kind of personality they will have. And yes I would adopt a Siberian if I could ❤
I have literally never seen a cat that isn't beautiful. These breeds are beautiful, but so is every cat I look after at the shelter. Each one is a work of art.
Beautiful on the outside and full of health problems on the inside :) No both inside and outside actually. That werewolf cat most likely has a skin condition and those persian cats can barely breath and have neurological problems because of their skulls
Thanks for sharing this! I hope to be able to attend a cat show one day. I loved hearing the stories of the cat owners. The Siberian breed is stunning! All the breeds are beautiful. Cats are the best. ❤
Man that light birman looks like my passed one, its been rougjly 6 years since he passed but oh my i had tears rushed to my eyes when i saw the cat on the vid >,< i miss him so much!
Saw your haul I’m now watching a show about all different types of cats. I’m so jealous I want them all. Kiss Loki and Luna a lot they are so precious!!
The Chartreux looks exactly like one of the cats we got from Grandma's farm. He was a sweetheart with the same plush blue gray coat and deep orange eyes. Mom named him Sweet William.
Lovely video. Thank you. The men in a tie however annoyed me a bit, as he handles the cats on such an excessive energetic way, moving them around so fast!😮😅
My sister Debbie started the cat house in Lincoln Nebraska. She attended many cat shows with her oriental shorthair. She went to the rainbow bridge in 2016.
Almost every house cat is sociable and affectionate that’s how they conquered humanity and gained access to more varied locations than any other predator excluding the Fox and humans who provided transportation for the cat’s worldwide occupation.
All of these beauties are so lovely. We (my adult Nephew), just adopted a “rag doll”. She is precious. She spends most of the week with my Mother, but…since Mom is 93 and doesn’t get around well, this kitty may end up with Me. I am a “dog Person”, but have been thinking seriously about a cat. I went with my Neph to the breeder to pick up little “Syl”. Fell in love with her as though Cupid shot an arrow through my heart. ❤ 🐈
@@lookilookibuthearingtooi it's a beauty contest, you don't see contestants for Miss America looking like they just rolled around in the mud on stage. Each cat has it's own standard of the "perfect" Siamese cat for example. And the judges deduct points for where they feel the cat they are judging misses the standard.
If only they could bring this to Colorado someday. I'm a huge cat lover and have a cat of my own that's also my therapeutic cat that helps with my depression and other issues.
I am sure that either TICA or CFA have at least one cat show in Denver each year. TICA has one in Denver Nov 10 2024 and in Colorado Springs Apr 05 - Apr 06 2025; CFA I didn't see one in CO but maybe I missed it. Just google TICA or CFA cat show schedules.
@@lookilookibuthearingtooi sorry to burst your bubble but cats frequently enjoy the shows. Maybe you need to know what you are talking about instead of just being Nancy Negative?
@@lizhumphries9100Yes there are quite a few, I used to have a stand at some for selling my cat art work. I know the Manchester Cat Club does a show, and there's a Birman one in Carnforth, and places like Earls Court and Alexander Palace in London show them. Best bet is to look online or contact the GCCF who'll have details of shows.
I know people always say 'adopt don't shop' and that cat breeds are just for looks in the end. . . but we'll never see established breeds if breeders aren't supported. We've learned so much about dogs BECAUSE of breeders. . . sometimes I think cats need that attention too. The typical domestic shorthair will always be the perfect cat. . .but what cat isn't perfect? If one's heart is set on something like a Bengal or Ragdoll, breed adoption isn't always an option. . .especially if you're wanting to screen for genetic problems. By all means, adopt . . .but sometimes. . .sometimes you want a very specific kitty. . .and that's okay too and the cat world really really needs to stop getting hung up on that.
@@BrittKatSlat Here is your answer. Perhaps they are allergic to cats and are searching for a 'breed' that is hypoallergenic, such as a Bengal, Russian Blue or Siberian etc.
@@BrittKatSlat Again though. . .we learned a lot about dog health and wellness BECAUSE of ethical breeders taking the time to establish breed standards. The same can be true for cat. I literally have nothing against mixed breeds. I own to random DSH strays taken literally out of my neighborhood. Our eventual third is likely to be the same. BUT, ethical breeding done PROPERLY seeks to eliminate health risks. If someone WANTS and has PREFERENCE for something like a Maine Coon, I would trust an ethical breeder over a rescue that can't trace lineage, can't tell me potential healthrisk, and can't say for sure if the big long hair they have is even a Maine Coon to begin with. Explain to me why the cat world is so hung up on people having preference to the pet they choose to bring into their home. We don't give the side-eye to people that want a Golden Retriever over the random pitbull/corgi mutt. Why are you so judgemental towards the people that desire a Cornish Rex over the random inbred calico? Because there are millions more of them? I'm not saying Shop Don't Adopt. I still encourage people to look towards adoption FIRST. But if someone WANTS something specific, they are allowed to want that, and judging them for that preference is asinine if they've DONE the research and the cat in question is being a GOOD CARING LOVING home.
I've never been able to go to one because I'm super allergic to cats but I really love cats and I've been dreaming about going here since I was very little, thank you for a wonderful tour!!!
All beautiful & awesome cats. I have had (she passed in 2014) a striking black cat which was a mix of Oriental cat which is like a black Siamese cat & Burmese. She was so gentle & loving & followed me every where in my residence. I still miss her.
I'm super proud of my ice white Turkish Angora with blue eyes like the ocean. I didn't pay a cent for her and she was a gift from above. She is 14 this year and in top health! Should never have neutered her but what the heck, she will always be my baby princess. ❤❤
Oh there are so many beautiful cat breeds out there 🥰. I have been considering going to a cat show just for fun cause I've never been to one and after seeing this I defo need to! La Perm is my absolute favorite breed, with Devon Rex as close 2nd (but really I do love all cats cause I'm seriously cat obsessed) 💖
It's not fun for the animals. These breeders are acting like salesmen. They just want new customers. They also breed sick cats. Devon Rex is a torture breed by the way. Please educate yourself on it.
Can you please show the cats more and less camera shots of the women speaking? It would be nice to be looking at the cat she is so nicely explaining in detail!! Specifically the Havana Brown, we did not see much of that cat at all!!! Would love to have seen its green eyes!
I have a Maine Coon, they are some of the best cats and my girl is so loving and quirky. And yes, she does try to join me in the shower if I don’t lock the door.
I know breeding is basically eugenics, but I've been to a cat show once and it was great fun. We came back with a British Shorthair, we named her Biche. Seller lied about her age, she was a few months older than what they told us. RIP Biche "Don Quichatte". I'll never forget you.
So neat you brought the show to us! You featured a few breeds I had considered before coming back to the Siamese. If there were some Tonkinese available to meet and get to know, perhaps that breed could have been a viable choice. I hear Tonkinese are not as vocal or active as my Siamese boys Austen and especially his brother Jasper, due to the more sedate nature of their Burmese side. The boys are two years old now, and likely will be my last kittens due to my age (60). But down the road I may consider a new addition, so this was a super helpful video. While many raise the issue of shelter rescues, if you are discerning and want to know exactly what you are getting, and health concerns and temperament are also important factors, then a pedigreed cat may be the way to go. While the initial cost of a purebred pet is higher than a rescue, one spends much more money on their feeding, veterinary care and providing enrichment over their lifetime than the purchase price. Hugs to Temo and Arya! They would be awesome in shows! Cheers, Michael Albuquerque NM USA
Hi! I need to ask you something. I am writing an E book on Cats and I would like to include this link for people to click on it and watch it on your channel. Am I allowed to do it or I have to pay for Rights?. I would really appreciate it if you could clarify this, ´cause if you allow me, I could include some other links to videos from your channel.
I have a long legged Munchkin, 2 elderly Sphynx ( one 18 and the other 20), and a brown classic tabby and white (mostly white) 14 year old mixed breed. The youngest is the Munchkin at age 9. I love all of them dearly, and used to breed and show Sphynx and Siamese. I also showed cats for other people. Cat shows are a lot of fun. I miss going to them, but work won't allow me to attend. All of the cats in this video were just gorgeous. It's a shame that there are so few Havana Browns around. I almost bought one. (Jan Griffiths).
Thank you for sharing the cat show. I am hoping you can help me with trying to decide on which gender of cat to adopt. I am a Gramma, 73 years old and in pretty good health. I hope to adopt an adult cat and not a kitten. My son has a female Bengal about three years old. Freya is sweet and gentle, not aggressive or domineering. My son and I have talked about him taking my cat when I no longer can care for it. My dilemma is should I adopt a female or a male should my son have to care for my cat. Some say a male and female get along better and never put two females together. I know it may sound silly to you to worry about my cat's future if I no longer can take care of it but I believe that ensuring my cat's safety and future are important. I have done a lot of research but do not have an answer. Should I get a male or female cat? If you could give me an idea about what to do I would be grateful. Thanks.
Hey thanks for reaching out! You ask many good questions, and love that you are thinking about the future :). I would say a male or female cat wouldn’t matter too much if you spay or neuter them. And if you get a cat from a reputable breeder, over many generations they have bred them to be super friendly and can get along. Some breeds are definitely more friendly and sociable than others. Here is a video I did on the differences between male and female cat: The Key Differences between Male and Female Cats | The Cat Butler ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hw4sLSUNC2I.html
Thank you for responding. After watching your video I think I will look for a personality similar to Freya. Love your cats. Love watching your channel.
My friend kitty look like a Japanese Bob tail but what happened was happened it was just hit by a truck as a kitten that I got let by mistake and was okay. ( roofers where working on the house and we’ll they open the door as well or something and ran out in the street.)
Sorry so little time was spent on Siamese... it's a cat of royal history, super smart and is one of, if not the most engaged kitties, usually talking constantly with their humans...
An interesting fact about Norwegian Forest Cats (That the narrator failed to mention): They are the only breed with a white-tipped tail. The first time I met my friends cat Mooch, he was yards away, and walking off..... Me: You have a Norwegian Forest Cat?! Kate: Yes...how did you know? Me: because other than NFC's, only "Thylvethter" has a white-tipped tail...and he ain't Sylvester. Kate: No, but he LOVES to watch the birdies!
Cats do not bring diseases to humans, on the contrary they build antibodies, they are felines and if they get used to your way of life, the character of the same owner ❤❤
Love to go to cat shows. Went to the CFA International Cat Show when it came to Kansas City Missouri. Had a ball. Got my first Maine Coon through a breeder I met at my very first cat show. You can learn a lot about different breeds, meet really neat people, and shop for great cat toys for really good prices. Everyone should go to at least one - great experience. Thanks for sharing.
San Diego cat show is awesome! I went there this year. This is a video of it if you want a preview! - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rJlOL77ikK0.html
