Great people involved in the steam scene.. my cousins and her husband are involved in it and own little Atom. They live in Dorset and he made some bench seats on his 16ft Ifor Williams and we did a pub crawl around the area with us all sat in the trailer and being towed by the engine! Then at the end of the evening we had a party in the barn along with the traction engine which acted like a big heater as it was winter time. He’s a joiner by trade and rebuild lots of them living vans for customers all over the country.

If you like stuff like this you should make your way to shrewsbury steam rally on the sunday and b/h monday of august. Theres everything from steam ploughing, vintage tractors, tractor pulling, working horses ect

Ahhhh!!!! Chris this takes me back one of my mates when i was a kid in the 60s his Grandfather use to rebuild these beast and build trains for the park rides in Rochdale Springfield Park Model Railway, (free rides all weekends) thanks so much for this one Chris.

This took me back to when i was a kid in the 70s seeing those stock cars. Safety was orange tape & don't get ran over 😁👍 good times.

I remember watching and following Stuart Smith in Brisca many years ago when I was a kid and they had a stockcar track in my old home town of Newton Aycliffe. All my old school books had drawings of Stu's stock car on them 👍🏻😂

Absolutely brilliant video Chris A great insight to how the olden days operated their machines by the power of steam. And that old Ford 7000 tractor brings back some good memories of my farming days as a kid working with my dad the Ford 3000 and 7000 were the first two tractors I ever drove on the farm at the age of 7 years old. Watched Stu Smith @Long Eaton in the 1980s with my Dad. Proper racing at night and you could walk the pits and see the mechanics at work. All gone now, housing estate.

Chris your are one lucky chap I am very envious and watching this I found very enjoyable and emotional my grandad had shared ownership with a Marshall traction engine the same as that one marshal challenger was the name of the engine such a shame we couldn’t afford to by it back then obviously I’m much older now 28 and I’d love the opportunity you had on that engine , keep up the cracking videos buddy hopefully meet you one day

That was bloody brilliant Chris , took me right back to being a child , I had an uncle called Boxer ,he lived in a little village called Braishfield (where the original worzel gummidge was filmed), he had 2 steam engines , big ones , one was just like the Donnelly fair ground one and the other was same size but no roof , many a time I rode on them, the one with no roof used to work his fields running a bailer ...gotta say I miss those days but seeing this was awesome mate and has made my week ❤ fond memories of the days when I didn't even know what a bill or to struggle was 😂 Top video mate as always 👍
