There was a Monchichi craze in Germany in the 80s too. My cousin had one, when she was a small child, but Monchichi were also a popular item for teenagers to collect. You can still find a lot of used ones and also buy clothes. I think old ladies like to knit and sew Monchichi clothes here in Germany.

I loved these as a kid and now started collecting vintage Monchhichi friends. There are so few resources out there,so I'm happy to come across another collector! Isn't it funny how Monchhichis are babies but they have their own bebichhichis and then there's that super tiny one!? How "baby" can one be? 😀

I only collect the vintage ones- so in 7 years I have only 2! They're extremely rare!! Original got my first two reproductions from Japan in Epcot Florida US.
