@@prakharanand7012 you have loads of time left to build your profile to get into ivies. And it's a good thing for you that there is a trend of gaining knowledge about these from youtube, so you know what to do from the very beginning
What I see is he comes from a financially strong family background. And in country like ours , the more money you have the more opportunities you get. Now don't get me wrong, I ain't saying he's less capable or anything like that but if someone else was equally capable as him but from a less economically prosper family background he/she wouldn't have made it.. And the other thing is his family is very supportive of him whereas most of our parents don't think education exists outside of the classroom. So I keep him under privileged category. Don't @ me.
I was not allowed to even apply due to our financial condition, even with any amount of aid. Being from a middle class family sucks, you know about all the opportunities but you have to always mind that you do not have the money. I'd rather not know about it. I will be honest I've been planning for my own business idea since I was 12 and his journey made me quite jealous! I am only human I guess. His journey, the issue he cares about is genuinely so inspiring! I wish I was in a metropolitan city in a top school where I could get more opportunities. I do not know where I will end up, I am studying for mains 2021 (after all IIT seems like the only way out plus I love the subjects but that is not my main goal). I ain't saying I am as qualified as him or MORE qualified than him, nope not at all. I personally think everyone is capable (after all the skills you learn from practise are more valuable than inborn abilities) and what makes the difference is hard work and how much does a person wants it BUT between two people with the same amount of mixture of that when financial condition makes the difference, it just HURTS (trust me I know how unfair it feels). Then again as what he is doing with the opportunity is absolutely amazing and I'd rather see him as an inspiration! *on a side note our country really should do something about this divide*
@@maydreams7676 You're not just the one. The jealousy is what actually made me comment that. It suckss how financial condition can limit someone's abilities. I'm currently in 12th , planning to apply to some colleges in abroad. I'm grateful that my parents can support me for applying there but somehow if I get accepted I'd have to find a part time job to support myself. See the chances of acceptance is extremely low considering that I'm an average kind of student, have nothing that actually stands me out from the crowd and not even financially strong soooo yeah might end up doing engineering here in Nepal eventually. And yeah goodluck for IIT. Heard it's tough and there's this mad competition . Nonetheless, I wish for you to succeed and get what you want!
@@agrani6642 I really wish you all the best. But I have a suggestion for you. You can search this "The Secret by Rhonda Brine". It has helped me alot. You can achieve anything in your life after watching this movie. All the best!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
See what many international students (especially Indians) believe is that academics is the way to get into a good college. But at an ivy, all the applicants will have outstanding test scores, awesome grades and a super solid GPA. So you must do other things to enhance ur application and differentiate yourself from the crowds. Like starting a club at school, taking leadership, playing sports, achievements, awards, charity work, volunteering for the less fortunate etc. I’m saying this as an Indian who was lucky enough to be born and raised in the US
Damn man! I recently came through the glance of his channel and I was recommended this video by RU-vid..Didn’t know that this guy had gone this far!!!!!🔥
Thank you very much for the video) I regret so much that I did not find out about SAT and US unis earlier((. I found out in my sophomore year at high school. Still got a full-tuition scholarship, but not from a top university I dreamt of. Also, pity that most of the internationals depend hugely on financial aid meaning we have to be extremely exceptional to get in to top school with full financial aid. If it wasn’t the case, many of us could have gotten in to top 20.
Not true. He had 34 and 35 in ACT. Even though we don't know when he got 35, whether he had full 35 or 34.5 or 34.75. BTW it's quite common to get all 5s in subject tests for decent student. And generally folks applying to top tier schools have ~13 APs, he has much less. I think his overall resume is quite good, academics wise he is okay. BTW look into his reaction video, he didn't get into any Ivy schools.
@@babycoda9207 but much more less brilliant than internationals Olympiads winners You can't now tell that internationals Olympiads can be cracked easily like jee
A prodigy indeed! Opportunities combined with hard and smart work :) well done! Harnoor, out of curiosity, which spectacles are you using? I wonder if you can share the link to the product. Thanks.
hey harnoor i am so happy u got him on your channel , many people have recommend your name to Shaurya , including me while he made his U TUBE videos in relation to the content that one wants to hear
HATS OFF! to such an amazing guy as u🤩. U r an inspiration to all of us indians ...the best part i liked was who told those who cant afford can also do it..talking to u would b my biggest dream.ppl like u change the world..my aim is to get into the princeton..inspired by u ..lots of love..may u get all the sucess
Inspiring video for sure! Good luck in your future endeavors Shaurya! Also just wanted to ask isn't the question "How's your English so good?" is kind of sterotypical/insulting b/c India is one of largest English-speaking country in the world?
He is from a very privileged family .... A majority of people in India don't get such guidance or support from their parents like he did. In such a situation , how do we get in to ivy or ivy + schools?? Pls reply harnoor bhai
You can try non ivy school to get into, its easy to get in their, Ivy schools are just a big brand and nothing more, its really difficult to get into ivy if you are not a legacy applicant, either that or you have to be a national/ international level sports champion. So its good to try other universities, especially if you are from engineering university ranking doesn't matter.
a little question- totally unrelated to the video, does being in the top 28 players at a video game in nepal count as a good extra curricular? (the game has over 14 million worldwide players)
Of course ! Schools don’t care about the activity . They care about your passion and how have u changed yourself . Being top 28 is not an easy thing to do and considering 14 million players are there so I think you are very hardworking and strong gritted
Amazing video brother. Can you make a video on how to get a master's or phd admit in CS from Stanford and UCB. Your network is really great. Keenly waiting for a video on this. Take care brother.

Its great to see that Indian students are now directly applying to US colleges and they have a game plan to achieve that. I hope to see percentage of Indian students go up and up in top US universities in future as more people know about its possible. I have seen Indian kids coming from big cities are way smarted that US kids, who mostly grew up in suburb. Who knows, very soon US will adopt quota system to limit how many Indians kids can be admitted😆😆
Guys remember one thing (ITS NOT EASY TO GET INTO IVY LEAGUE) people who get into ivy league are VERY VERY VERY VERY hardworking or god gifted!!! Best of luck
HE HAD CONNECTIONS.. I DON'T HAVE ANY!!! I'M IN 11TH AND NOW I'M GETTING AWARE OF THESE THINGS. CAN ANYONE JUST SUGGEST ME SOME EXTRACELLULARS THAT I CAN DO!!!
Harnoor bhai mai 9 grade hu mujhe MIT mai Jana h 12 ke baad Mera pass abhi koi achievements nhi h . What should I do from now onwards to get into MIT . I am interested in computer science
Get good marks. Learn essay writing. Do a lot of extra curricular activities such as join ngos, sports, drama club, internship, projects many more stuffs. These things are considered in admission
I don't know how you can call this privileged, my father wore slippers made of Banana peels and had no money but still managed to become an officer. It depends on someone's hard work not position.
@@bobtheballoon8947 kudos to your father. I am no way demeaning hardwork of his parents. But I am commenting on his capabilities to get into Stanford using his parents connection to get an internship and all. He is acting all self sufficient intellectual guy. But in reality he is just another privileged brat. I have met so many of such douches in my life.
IAS officers don’t even earn a lot of money lmao, and it holds no value outside of India. Even if his dad was one, it definitely didn’t play any role in him joining Stanford.
@@rohitmehta1216 you're just being salty. Shaurya has worked for this all his life. Everybody has their own struggles. If you cant see his then atleast dont say negative stuff. Just move on. Nobody can achieve anything without hardwork and he proved that. Watch his videos and you'll know. 🌼
@@Zionvy you have to be dumb to think IAS is about money. And it holds alot of value, clearing perhaps the toughest exam on this planet is not a child's play. You probably don't know how high standard of living IAS guys have
thanks a lot for sharing a lot of information through your channel and aspiring alot of students to know more about universities in USA. I am still in 9th but I am trying to know more and more about future in universities of USA through your channel it would be super great if you would make a video about how to apply for a scholarship in stanford internationally. 😊😊😊😊
Google summer of code (Gsoc) is basically a coding competition.it is an internship , not for admission in any university or a job. You can give it in the 2nd or 3rd year of college. It is usually held in the initial months of april till may .
I am planing to go to Germany for further studies I am still in +2 though. What do you think is Germany good for studying? And I know the pros of studying there but don't know the cons.
Omg so i am in the same situation as you right now. I went to a few "study in Germany" events and it turned out that they do not recognise CBSE/ISC for entry into undergraduate programmes. So you can either attend one year of college here and then apply to a German uni or you have to give a "studienkolleg" exam, which is in German and is quite hard to clear :( But yeah tuition fee is zero there for the most part!
Okay, I think I should help you as am studying in Germany from past 3 years now (UG Course), am an average student ( 60-70%) who is studying in Germany .So 1st you need to Qualify German Language course minimum B2 level to get into those universities. Pros of studying in Germany is that here education is almost free in some of the universities, the people are helpful and friendly, the people offering those programs are patient and study environment here is peaceful and calm. Till now I don't think there are any cons until you are a content creator. Germany is definitely the best Country to study with less fees or no fees at all.
Can you please make some videos for people who wants to apply in such top universities for post graduation course..... It would really helpful for me specially and for everyone as well.
There are 1.4B people in India. Logically that means there are a lot of very smart and capable people in India. Logically a lot probably are well qualified for Stanford. This year I have looked at some of the admitted students comments. They seem overall fairly negative on Stanford. That is probably not good. it may not be good that an increasing number are from countries outside of the US. They may leave the US after they graduate (or graduate from graduate school(s)). Is this good for the US. I think it is overall NOT. It is good to have a breadth of worldwide experience and knowledge in the student body. However, that should only be taken so far. Right now it seems that that scenario has been taken too far. Stanford should not be a school that is educating the world. I am sure there many professors whose egos may dictate that that should be so. I can even see the reasoning behind it. The problem is that there are a lot of starving people in India, etc. They will still be starving even with some help from Stanford. Stanford's primary duty should be to help the US get ahead. The idea that the whole world can be taught to get ahead by Stanford is likely a pipe dream of some professors. The idea that they can educate the Silicon Valley and/or some further incarnations of the Silicon Valley elsewhere in the US is plausible, especially with Harvard, MIT, etc. to help. Stanford should probably stick to what they do well. It is tough to see a bunch of technically "aliens" bad mouthing Stanford. I should admit I have done so in a number of cases. Sure Stanford has problems that need to be addressed. However, all of the "aliens" extra problems may be detracting from Stanford actually addressing some of its most severe problems. I would like to see Stanford address some of its most severe problems before it worries about educating the world (or before it worries too much about this).
Thank You for such an informative video...kindly give some info about masters in Germany also. And about DAAD Scholarship. I have a doubt that is it necessary to show blocked account for a Visa if one have Scholarship or loan from an indian bank to show his finances. If any idea...do share... 🤗
Yes, you can get admission in US universities (not ivy leagues) but some of those by attempting SAT or GRE or TOEFL or IELTS tests and scoring well in them. Am studying in University of Pennsylvania (Penn) from past 2 yrs as UG student I was also average person in my academics ( 9th - 49%, 10th - 69%, 11th- 74%, 12th - 75% : SCIENCE STREAM) So you can imagine how much struggle I did to get into these Universities. Just work hard.
I'm from very small village from india & topped in board but not jee mains & advanced. I listen from my senior all over computer courses & best from indian education in available in Internet but I don't know a website and thing like this Plz you suggest a computer courses & website who give me international knowledge

No u dont get green card immediately. It takes 10-20 years to get one. You will work on work visa (H1B). You can get full scholarship if the colleges offer to. You should have a good profile, if so college's offer scholarship accordingly
