***Urgent urgent urgent Holly... This is Australia and you're gonna have to wear a hat with a brim when outside and not riding... A good rule is to use at least 30+ sunscreen on your face/neck / other exposed areas every single day. Older Australians are forever getting cancers cut out of them, don't end up like them. ***PSA*** So glad you're having a good stay and have found a loaner horse! ***Sunscreen***
Holley a word for the wise, before it happens. Please get your self a hat the sooner the better, the Australian sun takes no prisoners and rather you didnt find out the hard way.
Its so random hearing you use words for things like 'horse box' and 'yard' when i never hear 'horse people' say it in australia hahah. So happy that your loving it here so far! x
I knew you wouldn't be able to go 6 months without riding!! LOL Diva is a beautiful looking mare, and I'm sure you'll get her straight with balance and everything. Stay Safe and Many Blessings from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
It looks so beautiful there! The weather looks amazing. What cute and fun girl Diva is. Her coat is soo pretty. I can only imagine how great she will look after a few weeks of you riding her. She will get in shape real quick! I’m so happy for you. This sounds like an amazing experience!!💕
Holly she’s such a lovely girl!!! I’ll simply enjoy watching you two develop a relationship together!! You know what else I find wonderful?? Hearing the birdsongs of a country I’ve never been to. It’s fascinating!!! They’re so beautiful!! Can’t wait for the next video!!! So glad I found you thanks to Meg!!!😉
Ahhh... wouldn’t be a Victorian paddock without cape weed!! So weird seeing you riding in Aus.. When I watch your Irish videos, it’s my childhood, the fields, trees, hedgerows... I grew up in Kildare... and seeing you now, relentless sun and gum trees, my adopted countryside!
Thank you for having a strong appreciation for chestnuts 💖 like is there anything better than that copper glow in the sun? Dee is super cute! So glad you're loving Australia, summer sucks but spring and autumn are fab
Yay! Keep the videos coming, I’m now in hotel quarantine😂😂😂 the nasal swap for covid test was the worst 10 seconds of my life😅💞 stay safe xx Edit: for those of you wondering why I’m in quarantine it’s because I am supposed to move to NSW in December but the Victorian premier stacked it and we had a second wave so I moved early :)
I really enjoy your channel, you are an amazing horse rider, jumper, all things horse related! Miss seeing your horses, seeing your wonderful father! Your family must miss you terribly👍👍❤️🇺🇸I cant wait to see all the things you will be doing with DIVA. SHE IS quite beautiful! Enjoy your time in Australia, I would be so homesick🐴🥕🥕🐴
So happy things worked out so perfectly! Would be interesting to hear, if you noticed any differences between Ireland and Australia in term of horse care... different training philosophies, feed, clipping, rugging etc. or just generally in the way of day to day life. :) Enjoy your time down under!
I moved to Atlanta a couple of years ago and want to get back to riding. I've trained showjumping back in Europe, but had a couple year break and I need some horses in my life!!
Ahhhhh I love her ❤️🐴❤️🐴❤️🐴❤️ she's gorgeous . You'll do a super job with her. TB's are so clever - my rescue ex race horse is a professor !! Loving the Aussie videos xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi holly if u remember me I met you in your last show in mulingar and saw you jumping u were amazing ❤❤❤hope u have a good time in Australia and your loan horse looks lovely 😍💜
Hi Holly you look so happy and healthy it’s great you found D to ride I love chestnuts. The weather is beautiful and your apartment looks very nice with lots of sunlight pouring in enjoy every second of your life down under in your new job.tfs 😎
Dee is beautiful! I've only just learned to see the beauty in the chestnut, the golden glow, and the purple depths of the colour, especially the mane and tail, just gorgeous! I really enjoyed watching that little workout .. So glad you are enjoying Australia so far
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Dee is just such a gorgeous horse, her colour, the shine on her coat is amazing. She looked so lovely being schooled by you,👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic update, exciting to watch it so early after its posting (i live in Perth). I honestly live to be able to ride like you even at half of how good you are would make me happy.
I am so pleased you are happy and of course I love anything to do with horses but if you have time it would be nice to see ordinary things about Australia, for example the scenery (shrubs, flowers and were they Eucalyptus trees around the school. Do they have similar routines to us and feed and equipment. Your accommodation looks really nice so is accommodation easy to find. I suppose land is cheaper so the cost of keeping a horse might be less money over there etc. Irene in the UK, where the sun is shining LOL
It looks like your dads filming, but then it’s not his voice talking 🙉😅 Also so happy for you Holly! Thank you for sharing it with us ☺️ love following your journey!
She's lovely! She is do delicate and little compared to yours! Obviously she is much smaller than the boys and Fiona but even Welbeck who is more her size is more muscled and fierce! I'm glad you are thriving! :)
You can tell that getting a horse fix is helping you get settled on. D is very pretty. Instead of having an orange undertone to her chestnut coat coat, it almost looks like there is a golden or pinkish undertone. Very unusual color.
So glad your loving it here in Australia. It’s a great place to live 🙂. It great to see that you’ve organised a horse to ride I think you would have found it hard not ride for six months. It will be awesome when you can get out & have a good look around your area. I am on the mid north coast of New South Wale & don’t have the strict lock down that you are experiencing. Hang in there I’m sure it will change soon.
So nice to see you so happy with your decision to go to Australia. Can you share an update on the horses back home at the end of your vlogs? Just a short update, or something 🤷♀️😊
So pleased for you Holly, Diva is beautiful!! I’m an Aussie stuck in the UK waiting to get back to Melbourne when possible, thoroughly homesick even more now! LOL, especially hearing the bird noises in the background and oh that Sunshine! One of the things I wanted to ask was how you went with crossing the border into Victoria from SA, was there any major dramas? Good that you didn’t have to quarantine again in VIC! Do hope things can open up real soon for you and you get to spend a good quality 6 months doing everything you want to, it will fly by, then you will be really sad to have to go back home!
She seems quite small but i think this may be because i'm so used to seeing you on bigger horses, what height is she? Amazing to see you back in saddle and watching you again i do miss your dads commentary behind the camera i cant lie! :D
Holly, you need to get PIXIO to sponser you! It is nice to have someone helping but what if no one is available and you just had the most amazing training day and no video!?! Tell Meg too, although I would really miss Hobbit...
Aw brilliant Holly so happy for you. D Is such a lovely horse and you ride her so beautifully. So glad you are enjoying the heat but not going to lie it's been pretty warm in Ireland and very dull and rainy. Hopefully you get a nice tan. Miss your dad's commentary.Btw what height is D ? I reckon she 15.2/3 possible 16h. So used to seeing you on bigger horses.
3:40 the Shetland in the background❤️❤️🥰🥰🥺🥺 also love Dee! Your so lucky to find such a good loan. I’ve loaned a 6 horses and 3 of them were bad. Also would you be able to do a day in my life? I would enjoy it so much! And could we get a virtual pony tinder with Meg on a British auction? Luv ya!
Dubaitacker probably😅 I’m not good with breeds. I live in Ireland and we only really have Connemara’s, cobs, Irish sports, Irish draughts and Shetlands. But really where I live it’s one Shetland and about 100 cobs😂😅🙃
@@nessaodonoghue- ohh ok, some what different where we are we have over 100 American shetland / minitures and a very beautiful black quarter horse mare. i wouldnt be surprised if we were the breeders we produce a lot of black and white.
Glad you have settled and found a horse when you come home you will have to stick her in your suitcase so to speak but I am glad your having fun and you are got something to vlog about and I am also glad that you are enjoying your work and hope it stays that way but with foals it should have fun in for you to ease the working day because they are funny watching them play about
