Two things I want to add that I’ve been asked about. #1 my husband did not buy him for me, I bought him myself. I pay for everything I get with the money I earn from my business and hard work, I’m very independent. #2 People have asked will I keep Mushu forever? I will not answer this question because I can’t predict what the future holds. My plan is to train him, enjoy him, and live day by day in the moment. ❤️
Absolutely love his fuzzy upper lip and being 73 years old, I share a little of that, don’t tell anyone! We lived outside of Dublin for two wonderful years and saw lots of cobs roaming free! Funniest story on the news-two fellows on horseback robbed a bank out in the country and escaped by jumping hedgerows and through the fields! Only in Ireland ❣️❣️❣️❣️lots of horse stories ❣️❣️❣️🧚♀️🧚♀️🐴
From a british point of view he is a beautiful cob, lovely colouring. He seems to want to be with you which is the most important thing. I think he will learn fast.
He's so beautiful! I love the freckles on his nose, the spots on his hindquarters, and the colors in his mane and tail. He's an interesting looking horse with a lot of personality.
Such a cutie.I am in the UK and you dont see many spotted ones. But Gypsy Cobs/Vanners are everywhere, most yards have at least one, they are at every show you go to.There are a lot around the 14.2hh size, but as you said can go from 12.2hh to decent sized horses. They are a slow growing breed so he may not totally stop maturing. til he is between 5 and 7.I shall look forward to watching his progress.
I have a 12 hand cob, I'm 5ft 3 and believe me she can take off like I'm not there. Brilliant feet too. She's 8 now and still a bit babyish, def don't worry if you get the odd fly-buck or giddiness
I bought a horse sight unseen and it was the best thing. It was a small mare and when I saw her she still had her fuzzy dirty winter coat and she was thin. I rode her and the deal was done. Once I got her home, started feeding her really good food and began grooming her. She ended up being true black under that winter mess. If you placed your cheek against her neck and looked at the hair, you could see rainbows. I spoke to the vet about her possible breeding and he was very certain that she was 1/2 morgan and 1/2 arab. Once I got her fed, clean and happy, you could see both breeds in her. Her name was Special Summer.....and she was indeed that. I wish I could experience that again.
Don’t know how I missed watching this video. It’s November 5, 2023, but I enjoyed it so much. Mushu’s personality is so kooky and had me laughing out loud. He’s filled out a bit. His antics trying to smell your cologne was like the best and seeing him moving in the paddock amazed me in that he looked regal. 💕🐎
He's such a handsome boy! He seems like he is going to have a cute personality too. He seems like such a ham. I don't know how you do it but you find horses with the best personalities. Especially this one because he was sight unseen. Can't wait to see more of him.
He is absolutely adorable his beautiful and he's really great looking horse he looks bigger than he is what a great personality endless whiskers on his nose 😀 he doesn't look like he's scared of anything!!! Totally awesome

I LOVE him! Love too see when he smells something then raises his lips with his head up..Definitely Gypsy Vanner. You can see it when he was running in the paddock. I am so glad you got him for your birthday. Love his color. Most people are used to the black and white. Thanks for the update.can't wait till you start working with him. What a bond you have already formed with him. I just love him!
I love your gorgeous Gypsy! I'm in Australia and4 years ago my dream horse Murphy came into my life. we call them gypsy Cobs as in U.K-. Murphy is a Traditional and was imported in utero15 years ago... Your beautiful boy Seems very Smart, Sensible and inquisitive, just like my Murphy. Congrats!
I am not a horse person (allergic) but I can see you are going to have so much fun with this guy. I have a friend who has minis and others and it’s amazing the range of characters. This boy is very smart and it’s evident that he thinks your cool too! Congrats on a good friend acquisition have fun!
I’m so happy this found it’s way to you even though you aren’t a horse person! Thank you so much for watching and that’s such a bummer you’re allergic :(.
Wow Mushu is going to be a great lesson horses when you start doing lessons with him because YOUR training him so he is going to be exactly how you want him to be, I know it's not up to me but i think you should keep him.
Gypsy Vanners and Irish Cobbs are supposed to be intelligent, social, kind and good-natured. He looks like a dream! Sweet to see you enjoying him. Still love ❤️ your Jiminy!!
He's definitely unique! I've always been fascinated by Gypsy Vanners, so it will be fun to see how he develops over time. I love how he flags his tail! Congratulations to both of you! Also, I've never seen a horse with a mustache!!
Mushu is a handsome horse. He appeared to have a really good personality. His markings are beautiful. Love his Clydesdale hooves and his gait is great🐎🐎💞💞!
What a hoot and what's not to love, so stinkin cute...a horse lover all my life, but never had the privilege of owning one of these amazing critters...he is a beautiful gem, you did good girl, gonna enjoy right along with you n Mushu...!
He's absolutely beautiful, I've always wanted one and I too I'm a appaloosa horse lover and I think you got a very beautiful Vanner, much love from Washington state
Irish Cobs are super common here in the UK, I've seen hundreds of them over time, but never one marked like Mushu. He's super unusual. Enjoy him. They are super fun and dependable little fellows 😊
They are awesome if you look in Facebook there are a lot of appy Gypsy cobs out there now.. They have started to breed mini Gypsy too,so under 10 hh ❤️ I'll try find some link's for you ❤️
@@freespiritequestrian One day I'd love to breed one out of my girl as a breeder isn't far from me but I'm super excited on her up coming foal to a imported stallion. Just adore the breed ❤️
@@katrinathompson7828 you won't find them here in the UK. Here they are about the most badly mistreated ponies of all time. I was offered the choice of 6 traditional unbacked 2 year olds for £250 each. I'd have taken them all, but unfortunately I don't have the time. If I did I've have had them all 😃
Omg!! You’ve given me back my memories of growing up with my horses and Loving every minute of it. I can almost smell my horse and the straw and Barn through your video. I always Loved the lip riser. What I wouldn’t give to go back or live around horses again. Its just so Amazing riding and losing yourself with the fresh air and the clip clop of their feet. It’s Wonderful to forget about all the bad in the world when your out riding. A Great way to decompress and not adult for awhile. I’ve been having a Really tough couple of months. What happened is my 5 yr old Miniature Poodle Service Dog Finn unexpectedly passed away from IMT. He was my Service dog for depression, anxiety and PTSD. I trained him since he was 10 was old. Your horse reminds me of Finn’s Loving, sweet and goofy self. Finn helped me pull out of some really dark places. Depression is a Horrible Disease and even harder to explain to people. Finn helped me SO much we started visiting Nursing Homes and all of the Business’s in our town. He was a Definite Romeo like your guy. I Miss Finn so much💔 it was so Nice to Smile and Giggle at your Sweet boy. I haven’t done that in awhile. I’ve been trying to find a Poodle puppy from a reputable breeder not these pop up fake adoption places online. Their are Wonderful adoption centers of course. I live on a small disability check so finding anything in my budget has become impossible. Finn was a gift to me and driven right to my door as a Surprise. I was hoping I could come across a breeder willing to donate a puppy for such a Special job. I’ve Always treated my animals just like you. I’m so Emotionally exhausted and grief stricken now. I can’t find any help😢I just wish someone would read this and knew of a breeder who could help me…. I Definitely subscribed to watch you and your Adorable baby! Thank you for turning my frown upside down I Truly needed that🐴🐩🐕🦺🦮☹️🙂🦄🐾🐾🐾🐾😇
@@freespiritequestrian I can’t wait to watch all you do with him. He’s got the Best Personality and really made a Great Connection with you! How long have you had him? Was he he raised by a woman because he sure acts like a Romeo to you. Why can’t people just let you bask in your dream of having such a Beautiful horse? What difference does it make if your husband bought him? Also, I would be honored to get him after your Wonderful training and Love. You shouldn’t have to spend time away from him or your other responsibility’s to answer questions like those. I’m thrilled to just see a horse as Beautiful as he is and what your going to accomplish. All that matters is the Here and Now😇
Shea, many congratulations! Mushu is, and I'm sure will continue to be, Quite the Character! Jim-Jim was real interested in him. Can't wait to see more of Mushu - and everybody else! Wahoo! 🤠🐎💓
Great video, thank you 😁 Mushu is sooo interesting and gorgeous. I loved the extended trot and tail flag 😊 he was very interested in everything in the arena but not nervous. With fluid paces like he seems to have he’ll be a dream to ride. You hit gold every time with your horses!! He’s got a great personality. I can’t quite get used to his moustache 🤣 This will be a very interesting section of viewing watching his progress. Oh he’s just adorable. 💕💕xxx
Thank you!!! Yes, he’s a flashy mover. I used to think mustaches were horrid, but over time they grew on me! Especially with male horses. It’s what makes him, him. ❤️
Oh Shae, he is personality plus, he’s just adorable. So cute and funny. What a ham! Thanks for explaining his breed history, such a help to better understand and appreciate him. Cool!
Gypsy Vanners are my dream horse too. He is so beautiful,,it is going to be so much fun to watch his progress. You are one lucky lady. PS,,I love his mustach.
What a wonderful addition he is to the herd. I'm glad your making your dreams come true. I see in the near future him and Prince Charming best buddies especially since there both goof balls.
He is an absolute dream horse! And his personality is amazing, he seems so attached to you already! Congrats! Also Disney is my favorite and I love you name horses after Disney characters and it happens Mulan is my favorite movie! Mushu is a perfect name!
Boy did you luck out. What a lovely horse and what makes him really special is his personality. He really has a great personality. Can't wait to see how he'll continue to grow and develope his way of going. Good luck with him!
He's a handsome ham of a horse. 1st time on your channel. Probably came up as suggested video because of my own horse addiction. So, to your independent comment, I feel I am independent too, however the gift of a horse from my hubs was such a heart language gift. It just showed me that he really gets me & what matters to me. It's a gift I accepted with joy & gratitude. Could I have bought my percheron mare & my rocky mountain trail horse myself, yes, but gifts are wonderful too. Especially from my bestest bud, my hubby. As independent women we can embrace our feminine fortitude without sacrificing other aspects of our character. "Give me a spa day gift card & I'll give you a hug. Give me chocolates & roses, & I'll smile with glee. Give me diamonds or pearls, & I'll gasp with delight. Give me a horse I have been hunting, & I'll do all three."-Me
Welcome to the channel! I Totally agree. I am absolutely okay with gifts and I embrace them! I just wanted to get the facts straight for some people that I do work for my passion ❤️.
I recently discovered your channel when you bought Prince Charming. I love Appaloosas too and Mushu is so beautiful! I LOVE his mottling and he looks very similar to a mare I bought and trained from a weanling. I loved your Hocking Hills video too. I live outside of Columbus. I haven't had horses since I was a kid and I really miss being around them. Love your channel!
What a beautiful boy he is...I'm in the uk and a massive fan of the gypsy vanner/cob..wishing you much happiness together, I feel sure you'll have so much fun..🐎
Mushu is absolutely gorgeous! Gypsy Vanner's are one of my favorite breeds. He is so unique and beautiful. I can't wait to watch him grow. I am so happy for you to see how excited you are about him. Congratulations! He's spectacular!🤗💕
His colors are amazing! Is it just me or is his tail red white and blue...xD The blue is more grey and the red a copper/orange but the more I look at it the more I love it, if you ever do a shaved pattern on him for a show stars would be fitting. He is super cute and has a great personality I'm glad you found your dream horse/heart horse! =)
I think you rolled the dice and got you a winner! He is a character, very sweet fella. I love the freckles on his nose. It will be fun watching you train him.
I love how Mushu tested out the bars on the soil. Obviously, someone did some groundwork with him and made it really fun for him. He has beautiful gears.
He literally has not had any groundwork other than leading, grooming, loading. He hasn’t been started other than basic handling which of course the basics handling has been done well.
