I'm Australian and have a slightly British X accent crossed with what people think is East European. My family was born here and so were my grandparents. My great grandparents came from Scotland, Ireland, England and possibly some distant relatives in Europe but it's amazing how centuries later pieces of the accent still stay with me. I don't sound "Aussie" but at the same time I do enough not to sound like a complete alien. Your friend is very endearing in this video. :)
