Gorgeous kittens. I also bought an abandoned home in NS. Over-run with mice. However, half baking soda/half cake mix, no mice. It took a week. I found all the access points and stuffed with wire wool and caulked over that. Been 10 months now, not a critter to be found.
I have a Bengal Cat - Named him Marcel - he's a year old, got him over 4th of July Week-end, last year. He's very high energy and constantly on the move, investigating anything and everything. He was a rescue, as all of mine are. I would never buy a pet from a breeder or a store, with so many in shelters, that may never find a home. I did a Google search, seems there's a Humane Society, an SPCA and other Rescue Shelters in Nova Scotia.
We have 3 cats, 1 tuxedo, 1 tortoise shell, and 1 diluted tortoise shell (the tortie's are also very vocal with big personalities). Our basement is a full foundation and snakes still get in around where the pipe for our oil barrel comes in because our oil barrel is in our basement and our diluted tortie is our snake hunter, she's always catching them for us. Just last week she actually brought a live one upstairs and was playing with it in the hallway so I rescued that one because I do actually like snakes so I rescue them when I can and release them in the woods behind our house lol

I grew up in an old house too and every spring and fall the mice would come in and our cat would catch them and meow her victory to us at all the wee hours. Lol She was effective, that’s for sure.
Add decorative polished rocks to the tops of your potted plants to prevent digging. Lots of scratching posts are necessary. Place the posts in strategic locations. I speak from experience 😻
My cat is a friend of anything that moves. A mouse a friend . A miller moth a friend. A fly a friend. Beautiful kittens. My cat would love your furniture. A scratching post. Never mind she has a cat post with 6 posts to scratch.

Sorry to read such crappy comments from people - sure there are cats in shelters, but here’s a surprise folks - many cats including mine, are NOT mousers and could care less. These are bred to be working cats when it comes to being prey-driven. Mentioned the weasel, mice, squirrels and snake in the house. They need these hunters! The girls seem like a great and thought-out addition to the family.
Squirt guns or tape balloons to couch or lastly what I did was I made boards with jute rope I think its called for kitties to scratch for all that saying about damage to furniture … so beautiful the kitties are and you all come up with the cutest names .

They are the sweetest ❤! We had mice and our cat didn’t do a thing. After trying everything that we could buy through stores ourselves we called in an exterminator. Turned out most of the stuff that you buy from hardware stores isn’t nearly strong enough and that in fact, mice can build up immunity to it. The exterminator spread their poison around (in spots our pets wouldn’t go) and that did the trick.
My cat brought me 1st a live mouse, 2nd a live chipmunk, and finally a leaf. She couldn't understand why I was not happy with her gifts. She also nearly flew from the top of the tallest furniture to the tops of cabinets.
Cute kittens. You can also use: Cotton balls & put peppermint oil on them & place them around your home…inside & outside. Mice ,snakes, & bugs don’t like the smell. Refresh ever so often. ♥️💙💙💙🤟🤟🤟😁
Since we live out in the “country”, we have a stray cat come around every so often. It’s a tabby. My husband has also seen a “black & white” 1 also…close by with babies…. He said. Don’t believe I’m gonna try to get to friendly with that 1. It’s SKUNKS🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it our running joke We got 2 cats…1 we aren’t touching🤣 ♥️💙💙💙🤟🤟🤟🤟
@@ssoley2097 Good idea about in the car. You can put peppermint in other places in your home. A great place is under the kitchen sink or throw a few under the house😁
The peppermint did not work for me. Nor did any other home remedies that I tried. So I got to kittens from my daughter’s momma cat. That was about 8 years ago and both of them are still mice and rat slayer’s!! The tom cat stays outside and the female stays inside. In the fall we have several mice that get by Oscar. So Tinky is on the job. My cats have never clawed our furniture. I bought cat nip and a scratch pad from Amazon. I put the cat nip on the scratch pad . They only use the pad. Oscar comes in the house to sleep and eat but still he slays ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Gorgeous cats - highly recommend that you get scratch guards for the legs of your couch/chairs. Having two cats at the same time is much healthier for them - helps them burn their energy with each other instead of people :)
They are so stinkin cute! Say goodbye to your couch & curtains though. I've been a cat owner & dog owner all my life but the cats will def tear up your furniture, but with love. Lol.
Your babies are beautiful. What do the pups think of them? Amazon has these fantastic arm protectors for your couch. I got them for my leather couch. Also I have a window bed for my Sasha and it so cute watching her in but she loves to look out the window. I have wild cats that I feed and I have no gofers, moles or mice. Our neighborhood takes care of the strays because we had river rats. We have none now.
Welcome new additions! They won’t necessarily destroy things. My cat has never scratched my leather furniture (or any other furniture for that matter). I got her 2 scratching posts (one on each level) in the beginning and rubbed catnip on them. I’m grateful she has been content to use those. They do love to climb though, so very tall cat trees and if possible steps attached to the walls will help them focus their energy there and away from your drapes and furniture.
Congratulations on the new additions to your family! I am a cat lover with 3 kitties plus I foster cats & kittens. I hope your little girls will turn out to be good mousers…any time a mouse would manage to find its way in the house, our cats would just play with them! Welcome to the wonderful world of being owned by cats, they are the most adorable creatures on the planet. They are sweet loving adorable little things. Just make sure to get them plenty of scratch pads and towers. I also trim the nails, you have to start when they are young so they will get used to it. It doesn’t hurt them and they don’t scratch as much.

My cat loves catching mice he brings them to me . Sometimes when I'm in bed my cat will bring me a 🐭 mouse . I pick them up by the tail and throw them out the door. They are adorable!!! Who cares if they aren’t from a shelter. I have no idea why people get so mad over that. I can’t have anything that sheds in my house because of allergies. So, therefore, l am absolutely grateful for breeders, so my daughter can enjoy having a pet/pets.
The kittens are adorable! We had to take down all our curtains when we got our kitten (have 2 older cats), as she climbed them all! A yr later, I think I can put them back. All our cats like to scratch different things, carpet (we have rugs), cardboard scratchers and hemp/rope..so we have a variety around for them. Have fun with them!
If you were stick stele wool in every hole like we are how many pipes come in the house anywhere there’s a hole that goes outside or in the wall that helps keep some ice out to my sister did this and after she has passed away her daughter was very nice my niece and done it for me so far so good and I’m in the country
My cats and I had mouse adventure. I had 2 male Persians. My sweet baby boy was terrified of the mouse. While his brother, George, thought it was the best toy ever!!. George loved catching spiders, roaches, lizards, geckos- and then saving them in his mouth to release and catch again later. 😮

Fun solutions! Having lived in an old farmhouse, mice loved to invade! One trick we used was using crinkled aluminum to stuff opening, around pipes and layered in drawers! Enjoy the mousers!
Same happened with my 2 cats but before it got real bad I put scratching posts at every corner. Now I think they're made to hug the corners of the couch. I believe just having the smell of cats in the house will keep the mice away. Our 2 kitties lived to be 20 and 22 years old...yup they were spoiled 💜💙💚💛🧡
I haven't watched the whole video yet but we used to have a bangle cat and he was a great hunter. He kept mice, rats and even squirrels that lived in our attic (where they could chew on wiring) away from our place. Fantastic addition to a farm. I don't know when cats turn into very effective hunters but if they're great hunters you won't have a problem with any more rodents. Our one cat even kept the little cul-de-sac neighborhood rodent free. Oops, didn't realize this was a reply not a comment on it's own...
I’m scared to death of cats, kittens of any age! Got attacked severely by a mother cat while I was asleep and I have always had a terrible fear! I really want to overcome it but both of my granddaughters and daughter are highly allergic to cats so I have no reason to be around cats but just looking at them gives me cold chills!!!
And you have the best furniture for their tiny , sharp as needles, nails ! We have to keep all furniture covered or the sides will be destroyed. Best wishes!
I never in a million years would’ve guessed you would be getting kittens! They are so pretty! Do they and the doggos get along well? I miss having a cat. But with my traveling and being gone so long, it isn’t fair to have to foster them with my friend so often. You already are so in love them!! They both seem to have been well socialized by their breeders. That’s a huge plus!! Congratulations on having two new babies ❤❤
They are so adorable!! I love love love th little leopard spotted one. We have a Farrel cat that we found when she was just a few days old. She is hilarious to watch. We to have a lot of mice in our old house. She does a good job catching and killing them for us. Her name is Taz, because of the way she flips and turns when she is playing. Enjoy them they are lots of fun.
The kittens are adorable.. caution check your indoor plants to make sure that they are not toxic to the kittens there are many indoor plants that harm them if they get into them.
