i love this but imagine they did a video of just ricky being silent and zoned out, making random facial expressions here and there because he's reacting to some wild thing happening in his mind.
@@dihte1628 According to the Wiki: Although Broadway Licensing's perusal copy of the Ride the Cyclone libretto uses this new version of the script, the changes to Ricky's character are optional, according to Kholby Wardell. The Chance Theater production, which ran concurrently with the Arena Stage production, used the version of the script wherein Ricky is still disabled.
Im so truly disappointed that RTC decided to get rid of ricky's disability in the show. instead of just representing disability better, they decided to not represent it at all. Honestly, fucking disgusting. #saverickypotts
a couple productions hired actually disabled actors to play ricky. after a while those productions complained about how it was annoying to work with. eventually rtc decided to scrap ricky's disability entirely due to these issues. all because some productions were being dicks towards disabled people. rtc basically took away ricky's whole character. now he's just some creepy guy that wants to fuck cats, theres no reason behind it anymore.@@nathaniellee5277
If you're talking about Alex Wyse (2016), he's not the og. The very og (Canadian) is Graham Newmarch (2008) & Elliott Loran (2008-2013). Jackson Evans (2015) was the original American Ricky. Mischa's & Ricky's actors were different each original (2015-2019) American production
OK so the other day I went to rent and I saw him live as mark. I even got his autograph and got to talk to him but I didn't know he was Ricky until I got home in a few days after. I don't know if you remember me or if you can even see this comment Scott, But I completely fan grilled over you when I learned you were the OG Ricky. I was the one who it was my 1st time seeing rent whole If you can see this please respond. It was at the hobby center. I don't remember who but someone who worked at the show introduced me to you you were the 1st one who got to sign my playbill. I'll say you were amazing as mark and you are amazing as Ricky.❤😊😂
I think this is Scott Redmond! No, this wasn't the one fired for his (their) disability. It was Yannick Eike Robin Mirko, who was an actual disabled person. They were to play Ricky Potts, but were fired since their disability apparently caused some inconvenience to the theater. McCarter Theater was the one that fired them.
i hope you know how theatre works and how some actors go off shows and a new one takes up the role. this was three years ago and im sure this ricky did great!!
@@HopeMasekuna saying youre allowed to say something like that is so weird, yes there's freedom of speech but your comment is rude and unnecessary.. idk if you listen to the ride the cyclone soundtrack.. but scott is the one singing in that so make sure to remember that when you listen to the online soundtrack ;)
