... and... he has lived through 3 iterations of the Introduction Leaders program, which now no longer exists.
I was curious to learn about what Landmark's like now compared to back then, if anything's rrreeeeallly changed at all.
What do you think?

Hi Dale and Riley. It's 1:43 a.m. in Colorado. I was surprised about the upload at this hour.

Hi Kimberly, yes, two Aussies in our timezone means we're awake while you're asleep :)

@26:33 I had only taken the Forum, 4 or 5 weekly seminars, and was in the Assisting Program for about 3 hours per week, and they pushed very hard, trying to register me in the ILP. They called at least once every week, trying to get me to sign up for it. They told me very little about the ILP, but the harder they pushed, the more dead set against taking it I became. Some "friends" had just done the ILP, and they were always either stressed out or sick. I wanted nothing to do with it. After i left the program, (having told them that further participation was against medical advice), they called and told me that i was scheduled to start the ILP the following week. I told them that i had not signed up, and they told me it was already paid for. EXTREMELY manipulative and controlling. Of course, i did not do it.

when you say 4 or 5 weekly seminars, does that mean you were 4 or 5 weeks INTO a seminar? How many weeks had you been in the assisting program? The way I know this kind of behaviour is as exceptions to the rule, it was rare (back in the old days) to be asked so early in the "curriculum" it was so that people had to have AT LEAST done the Advanced Course and a seminar before being asked to do ILP. Pressuring you to be in the leadership training reeks of desperation.

@@LifeAfterLandmark I never took the advanced course. i had taken four or five 10-week seminars, which met once per week. I took "Excellence in the Zone," "Success," and "Creating Happiness." I think there were another one or two, right after EIZ, but i can't remember the name(s). I think the next one they wanted me to take was "Living a Created Life." The Seminar Leader (of "Creating Happiness"), talked about it, and said that it involved "brain science," and guaranteed that we would experience an "amygdala hijack" during that seminar. I already felt that my amygdala had been hijacked. I was already being severely gaslit, both at the center and off-grounds, and felt really creeped out. As to my assisting agreement, i went for 3 hours on Mondays, right before my seminars started, (it was a fairly long drive from my house), and just worked in the office. I was also on a few production teams. I "assisted" for a little over a year. The constant push to get me into the ILP probably started about 4 or 5 months before i left. My recruiter also tried to get me on staff. Her partner informed me that they were "grooming" me to take over the job of a staff member who was leaving. I told them "No." I was well aware of the abuse going on, by that time, and was not willing to take part in it. The whole time i was there, starting with the Forum, i always had one foot in the door; one foot out. I was never completely sold on it, but had trusted my recruiter before she got me into Landmark. She kept telling me that some great breakthrough was just around the corner, so i stayed much longer than i should have

@@LifeAfterLandmark My first answer disappeared(?) I never took the advanced course. I took four or five 10-week seminars: "Excellence in the Zone," "Success," and "Creating Happiness." I think there were one or two others, between EIZ and "Success," but don't remember their names. I was in the assisting program for a little over a year. 3 hours in the office, once per week, just before i went to my seminars. They also tried to get me on staff. I said, "No." I was already feeling gaslit, both at the center, and off-grounds, (my recruiter and her partner were involved in the latter. They were in my social circle, predating my recruitment into Landmark).

@@LifeAfterLandmark i was also on a few production teams, so my assisting hours were longer at those times. The constant, nagging phone calls to get me into the ILP started about 4 or 5 months before i left the program. As you have probably picked up on already, i absolutely despise Landmark. What they did to me at the end was unforgiveable.

Thanks Sabine and great point. There's SO MUCH to talk about - Riley and I are continuing next Monday... we'll talk about the flow on effect ($$, registrations, bums on seats) from the leadership program then.
