My 'back-yard' wacky raccoons give me so much fun entertainment every night. They love the buffet of scrambled eggs, hot dogs and oatmeal cookies (sometimes, popcorn and PB&J sandwiches), I make for them every night. Love watching the babies grow up.

With everything that is happening on this planet, your own country, your own town, possibly your own house, its vids like these that bring you down to earth.........love all creatures

Raised a few raccoons growing up in the Midwest. Farmers would find little ones abandoned and bring them to us. We raised them until they matured and then just left the cage open the first time mating season hit. The last one was a HUGE male named Ulysses and he came back and visited in the middle of the night until I left home. P.S. Nothing more fun that watching them chase an ice cube around a table top.

As a kid in the 70's my family had a pet Racoon. We called him George. He was notorious for stealing stuff and creating secret piles of things he'd stolen and collected. My father had a shiny Zippo lighter and George would try to take that thing everyday. He was one of the smarted pets we had, and we had lots of unusual pets. We even had a pet Bobcat which was awesome. Strangely the Bobcat and the Racoon got along nicely.

We had a female raccoon as a pet, years ago. Found her in the spring, wandering along the road, as we were coming home from planting a field of corn. She was acting as if she might be sick, so we got her in a seed corn sack without touching her. We got her home, and put her in the bottom of a 55 gallon drum, with some dry dog food and water. Turned out she must have been either dehydrated, or starving, because after she ate and drank, her acting sick went away. She wasn’t full grown, so we figure she somehow got separated/ lost her mother and didn’t know how to take care of herself in the wild. We kept her penned up for awhile, but when she got full sized, and fall came, we’d start letting her out during the day, free to climb trees and do what she wanted. Eventually, on night she wasn’t around. Then she was back the next day/ night. A bit later she was gone for a couple days, and then eventually she took off for good. We figured we’d never see her again, but that was fine as she’d gone off on her own. The next spring, she returned and had her litter of kits on the farm, where she considered home. She definitely remembered us, but wasn’t quite as willing to be petted, etc... Once her kits got old enough, she took off again, but she repeated the process of coming back to have her kits again the next year. So we got to see her raise two litters, over two years.

The cat was wondering where his/her treats were. Lol

I had one when I was a kid and he didn't mind the cats however the cats could not stand him but I understand 180 lb Saint Bernard and he were best friends that raccoon love that dog they slept together played together that dog was his best friend.

This video brought me to your channel then I spent a couple hours watching all the videos. I know nothing about farming but find this so interesting.

I had a pet Racoon when I was a young lad. Named him chatter he was the best guard dog ever. The only other animal he liked was my german shepherd.

I want to live on a Farm---looks and sounds so peaceful.

Awwwww. He reminds me of a best friend I used to have. When I was a little boy I came home one day with a furry friend I met in the woods. A Racoon that was pretty big, and was as interested in me as I was in him. It was my grandfather's farm and my mom thought it was the cutest thing. He never came in the house. Every day I would go outside and he'd either be out there waiting for me or not. We'd play, go on long walks in the big forest together, hang out like a couple bunch of buddies. At night when it was time to come in he'd walk with me to the house and I'd say goodnight and go in. My mom even wrote a children's book about it called "Trips new home," which she almost had published. My grandmother was very spiteful of my mother's success and threw out her documents containing the agents and publisher's that were willing to publish her.. Anyways.. After a couple years of friendship, Trip stopped coming around more and more and then one day he came to the farm to explain why. My mom remembers it well cause it was pretty unbelievable. Trip had a wife and racoons kids and he even brought his family to say goodbye to his human little buddy.. We never saw him again after that.

Ive got a family of Racoons that come to my house every night to eat my cats food, Like im running a Cracker Barrel here

I had a raccoon for a while... found him as a little guy on railroad tracks in Central New Jersey! Got him vaccinated but man, he was mischievous!

I worked out of Newark NJ. Big City life- one night on my balcony one fell onto it and him/her became friends...But I'd be gone for work sometimes up to a week- one night he showed up and all I had was Golden Grams and Reese Cups. He loved it! I went inside to watch tv I came back his whole family was out there atleast- atleast 10 of his family and friends! It was like they were at Golden Corral! He'd come by once in a while but then stopped. I miss him. Tht was 20 years ago! All together he'd been visiting me for about a year. That's nice of you for looking out for him. 💝

I stopped to see the roscoe, I have the 25th generation of raccoons living above my home, they used to run up my leg across my shoulders and down the other... so I checked out u’r Chan....and I have new kittens as well....it was a pleasure to have a snapshot of America....may not get to u’r Chan again but I’ll give you a follow.... thanx
