Some of the best dart players from around the world will converge on Madison Square Garden this weekend. CBS2's Steve Overmyer spent the day with a man known as "the bad boy of darts."
Yeah, I caught that one too, but a great report and wonderful exposure for the sport. I am a lifelong resident of this area who has been following the darts for ten years, and I've NEVER been contacted by so many of my non-darting friends about spots for this event.
Unfortunately, Baggish had his run in the PDC and wasn't able to retain his tour card.. Jules might be the next big USA player, given the fact he's only been playing a very short time and still has leaps and bounds left to improve. We'll see though!
Canadian players are more likely to advance the game in this part of the world than Americans. Still, the only way for darts to blow up proper is for it to find its way to American TV.
@hals9631 you're right. As an American who holds a CDC tour card for the states the major tournaments in the states love the 2/3 format for events which does not do justice to 501. It's meant to be played in at least 4/7 format in the early rounds so newer players that get to throw 15 turns before they're elimated makes them not want to play more and stick to local LODs

Darts players are very particular about their darts. Some darts can cost more than $100 per set, but good quality darts can be had for $40 bucks or even less! Play darts y'all!

These days you have to go big to get any fire started in America, which is why I’m sure some liberties were taken with the coverage. I’m thankful for any media coverage at this point though!
