He's the most prolific fashion designer you've never heard of, and while he may not be a household name, Stan Herman has dressed millions of households, and has also designed uniforms for a multitude of companies, from TWA and Avis to McDonald's and FedEx. Correspondent Alina Cho talks with the 95-year-old Herman, who recently recounted his extraordinary career in the memoir, "Uncross Your Legs: A Life in Fashion."

Being Approachable is Stan Herman's Supper Power... Besides Stans clothing design be approachable for the masses. I noticed when he was talking with the FedEx driver that they both made each other glow with delight. When he was introduced on QVC the people on stage, they too were full of that same delightful reaction. What I'm suggesting is Stan's soul is so approachable, it's expressed in his designs.

CBS you left out United Airlines! I was a flight attendant for United from 1984-2006. Stan Herman designed our uniforms till 1989!

I wore that Orange Mcdonalds uniform in the late 70's. I never knew I was wearing designer quality. They were very easy to wash and kept looking fresh.

It's a matter of FAITH friends, God decided for human specie to be sensitive towards beauty, therefore let's...be just natural, beauty is seductive and it's helpfull in any kind of job. Uniforms for me are like sports outfit, we belong to a team, a squad, a brand, a... lifestyle, a service, a family in business, uniforms are usefull. I do not like that schools gave up using uniforms...students suffer another kind of racism, discriminations based on the brand of the outfit they put on. A uniform help students keep on the same jacket for a week...liberal outfit force them switch clothing every single day instead. If we care to make everybody feel comfortable, switch outfit every single day, yeah, uniforms are much more .. convenient
