That's the base price without options and tax. If you add options and tax. It becomes over somewhere around $100,000. For a car not going to out run a Nissan GTR, Ferrari 458, Acura NSX and Audi R8. Why not just buy a GTR or NSX. It's more reliable than Chevy.

Why would you purchase a base C8 for $60,000 just to say you own one. Lift kit is required unless you want to drag every speed bump. the performance Z51 package, electronics package and I could fill this comment with accessories most owners will want. So most LT2 & LT3 C8'S are prices in the $80,000 to $100,000 price range. Plus title, tags and transportation. Then some dealers are also adding on $5000 dealer markup. I'm surprised you found a Base C8.

@@DWH300 some good reasons for the cheap one are I'm going to put a suspension kit on mine so the mag ride would be a waste, hopefully the ecu gets cracked because I'm going to cam mine just like my other cars. I'm changing the exhaust asap so I dont need the two mode exhaust. And I dont like the stock wings so hopefully the aftermarket wings will be out by then.

@@DWH300 that's like saying there's no reason for jeep dealerships to stock base model sports when rubicons are available. People love to customize their own cars from a blank slate and not having to pay the premium right off the bat for features they won't need doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I will say that for Corvettes it is less common than with Jeep's, however, the same principle applies.

@Naught Guile its not about attracting them. It about breaking the market that's is about. Its about the drivers and pushing cars to absoulte limit. If u want exclusivity u buy pagani,rimac koenseigg ,Apollo, and SSC. The car brand u mention has mutiply model and they depreciate. And some car modelc will increase like P1,Laferrari,918, contrario.Suv and sedan they go down. I seen rich ppl wearing plain t shirt n pants while owning 3 million dollar cars.

I think the 1LT is the best version currently to buy if you want to track the car. It's lighter and has less extra electronics not geared to driving than the others. Slap the Z51 package on which gives you brakes and oil and tighter gearing, all you need do is add in your own track ready suspension system and better rubber all around and you can go to town on race tracks.

I'd definitely do something like this and look to the aftermarket for splitter, wing, exhaust and wheels & tires. You can really save money overall.

I have a 2021 LT1/Z51. StingrayR. High wing spoiler. I don't need heated/cooled seats or help backing up. Less weight anyway. I really enjoy it. This car is impressive. Rides so well or it can scare you.

Nobody has purchased one for less than $60k , but the marketing department deserves an award for letting the public buy into the hype ,so that the massive demand and limited supply forced the prices paid to be well over msrp .

GM is knocking it out the park with its strategic "options" bases.. Most of its revenue is coming from options they will take off everything a modern corvette would need from the base model and tell you you got to get the options if you want it. hats of to that.

I am definitely getting one soon. No brainer here, 60k for a mid engine sports car. GM really cares about people, they won’t jack up the price simply because they can. Other brands especially German only raise their prices on their junk. God Bless America!

I have an LT2 C8. This car should not be allowed to be sold as an LT1 without the review camera mirror as standard equipment. Without that rear view camera mirror this car is a safety driving hazard on the road

Great Piece Austin... ordered my convert in January... hope to see it for Christmas @ the Museum!! VERY impressed with your Channel and the format and presentation of your content. I'd get a base blue and the ONLY mod I'd do, is to replace the cats with straight pipes. That's it. Gives a better sound and gains you 20 HP and TQ. I would do a clear wrap to protect the paint. That's it

z51 has a slower top end speed than the base Stingray The looks of the base Stingray without a rear spoiler are more elegant and classic. There will be many more after market spoiler wings that are awesome compared to today’s selection

There are two factors that will raise the out the door price of this base model C8 corvette. These two factors will vary depending upon which state the car is purchased in. The two factors are Sales Taxes and Registration Fees. In the state of California these are quite high and would likely raise the final price of this car to about $70,000.

If you get the z51 you would still want to change out the exhaust and could probably get 20 hp more compared to the factory 5 hp more. The lower gears and spoiler hold back the top speed!
