We commonly swap them in Golf MK1s down here. (As they were produced until late 2009). Have joined a few mates who have a good few 20VT, a few with 16VT and the battle over 1/4 mile with the R32 swapped MK1 is mad real. Loving the content coming out. Really nice swap. Oh and that setup. You can take down most cars. Stage 2 RS3s, stage 3 7.5Rs, 45s with files, 63s and many more. Can’t wait to finish tuning and get some good content out myself😎

Find the mags. Respect the sticky pages. And just do it yourself. I spent time gluing pages to later un stick them and built my dream 205gti 1.9 and dropped a gti6 turbo forged lump in it. All DIY with alot of help. But, guys I thought I glued pages quick I wrote my 205 off at 175 and ain't ever had a better ride! Trust. After getting out and walking away! Yeah I felt a bit lucky. But I had no tc, lsds, 6pots or tyres, I went all out DIY and still I wait for a better ride. 😉😂😂
I live in the US, but back in 2010 or so I built a 1992 Plymouth Colt hatchback (Mitsubishi Mirage), and I swapped in a built 4g63t from a DSM. I put a 3" turbo-back, 20g turbo, a 2g MAF, and a 1g EEPROM ECU with a boost controller. It would pull like that and torque steer at full boost. It was scary.

(Just wondering) do people rate the 1.8turbo more than the 2.0tfsi like in a mk5, because they have a bigger turbo? Noticed their like 230ish bhp more than a gti's 200bhp
@Goldark sounds decent. I got a leon fr 2.0 tfsi its 200bhp stock but got few mods and it's menna be 250+... does feel fast only issue iv had is a coil pack and break pads lol. My mate had a 1.8tsi passat cc it was only 160bhp though, not like your 225 😂 guessing there different turbos
Nothing but respect, good to see a real hands on build. A set of sticky tyres would transform that car, Nankang ditch finders need to be put in the bin.
