It's been five years since a fire nearly destroyed France's iconic Notre Dame cathedral, but rebuilding work on the historic landmark is almost completed, thanks in part to the efforts of an American craftsman.

The best CBS Mornings pieces are always too short. I have so many questions. 3 minutes is inadequate for something this interesting and complex. Good luck to Hank.

it's truly incredible the research and work carried out to restore this diamond,...the French even went to cut new stone in the original quarries, they redid the entire roof with the same tools the same methods the same techniques...it's just an absolutely colossal job! I am in the profession myself and I have limitless admiration for the research work to restore the parts that were damaged by the fire to their original condition...it's just almost impossible! a feat like no other anymore, it's a miracle!

the people who helped rebuild France's Notre Dame cathedral before were using contemporary methods in those days why don't the craftsmen now use contemporary methods to rebuild the cathedral am sure it would even cost less save time and last longer

How much of the carpentry required is being done by hand with period tools and techniques, and how much is being done with modern power tools? It seems like it would take many years to do all the carpentry by hand.

There are 1000 craftsmen and white collar people in what is much more than a French Effort, probably Worldly, united to rebuilding Notre Dame using the identical techniques that were used when She was built. I would have thought more but it is such an amazing feat. Truly a Cathedral Loved By All.
