I would say it's a bit different. In the middle east every hates and they actively try to destroy one an other. The Balkans are way more stable. Aside from our Economic problems, we are pretty chill. Just don't mention history while you drink together.

Alrighty let's see if I've figured this out: 1. Greece and Turkey, sorting things out like gentlemen. 2. Romania is hanging out, while Bulgaria faints, surrounded by Romani. 3. Montenegro is sleeping, while Serbia is exhausted, and Kosovo is being a Mood. 4. Albania is being a lovely neighbour to North Macedonia. 5. Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia being pals. 6. Bosnia/Herzegovina, still dealing with the aftermath of the Yugoslav wars.
As an Italian, I can say that in the past we didn't get along very well with Slovenia and Croatia, luckily that time has passed, also because they kicked our asses in the war honestly.

As a turkish man, ı would say that : we could had argue with Greece. We could fought many times. We could do many other bad things each other BUT when ever Turkey has a disaster like earthquake, forest fires or any kind of disaster. they are ready to help to us and they always show that we are neighbors. we can fight in normal days but whenever one of us need help the other always helps it. I really feel good to have a neighbor like Greece. Thank you all my greek brothers !

Balkans to me can be summarised by that feeling you get when that one futureless drinker/smoker comes over to your house, yall drink and smoke like crazy, and then next morning its those depressed vibes before he lesves, you clean the entire house while feeling sick, and then when you're done you have nothing else to do with your life.
