They've been bred for that. They are normally just brown. Typically breeding things for appearance can cause some very nasty side effects, but I can't say that is the case with these guys. Ferrets absolutely, be very selective with ferret colors or you can end up with a special needs slow in the head one, the US breeders have no ethics in that regard.
My bearded dragon's favorite color is red. He has tried to eat so many red things that weren't food... an off button, a floral pattern on my bed, a red leaf pattern on my shirt. Each time he looked so disappointed when the "food" didn't go in his mouth, haha
Yes oh my gosh. My beardie will sometimes go nuts over red foods. He loves red peppers and strawberries and will sprint to me whenever he sees me get them out
they respond to their names, too!!! my beardie knows when we say her name in a certain tone that shes wandering somewhere she shouldnt and will stop and go back to us xD. theyre surprisingly smart on a few occasions
They can also (somewhat) be effectively litterbox trained. I eventually got mine to only go on a very specific part of the tank. Made cleanup much easier. They’re pretty intelligent!
I’m pretty sure my leopard geckos favorite color is yellow because when I put him on my bed (which has a yellow comforter) he’s always smelling it and running around 😌
I wish. Mine doesn't eat any greens, cucumber, etc. All i can get him to eat is blueberries (his favorite), watermelon, and bugs (crickets, dubia roaches, and mealworms).
I had a bearded dragon for about 10 years and she refused to eat anything that wasn't live food. I tried just about every trick in the book to get her to eat greens, veg and fruit, but no luck with any. I just had to give up in the end and let her have her bugs.
I got my young ones to eat veggies by feeding it to them with the same chopsticks I gave them crickets with, that way they knew that if it was introduced by chopsticks then it is food.
My dragon has a nerve in his neck that make it hard for him to eat. When he tries to eat his head will spaz and shake. We named him calambre, which is Spanish for cramp or charley horse.
I had 2 male bearded dragons that cared for each other a lot, they were rescued animals, and unfortunately one of them, named stumpy past away, he was a frail, and very broken reptile, I always felt bad that he was as weak as he was, he loved snuggling with me, his brother, Speedy on the other hand, likes to run, and explore, which usually involves trying to jump off of the couch I set him on
I love our 2 beardeds. Kept seperate. and our chinese water dragon . If they weren't so much money to take care of, we rescue and adopt more but the fresh food,.bugs, and light bulbs are expensive and need replacing every 6 months to keep them healthy under their ubv lamp snd heat lamp. when u love and respect these pets any pet, they trust u, appreciate being well takin care of and love u back 💯 believe it or not they're very lovable
I love my beardie. She's a gray/brown/yellow sand color and she had the best temperament. She's so docile but she'll let you know when she's not happy! Rascal's favorite food is dubia roaches. She's addicted!
Yellow/orange is Rizzels favorate, atleast it would be the forst thing he would inspect going places i suppose, if there are rocks around when he is walking with me/going for a mini run, i typically he stops at multible foot to 2 foot tall vegetation, or bolt for some spaces he can "snake wiggle," into, yeah lots easier if you walk them kinda like a dog for the bathroom situation, for a week i did it, now when it rains unless Riz has been holding it he wont go unless grass rubs his belly or he randomly hops down to ground lvl, and if he is mad for no reason at all, he gets to track traing/windowsurfing/finger painting real quick lol.
My deceased beardie Luna liked pink and purple best, and would get all wide eyed at bright pink blankets or towels and run over and sit on them, and prefered ones of those colors over ones of other colors. She also refused to eat green lettuce, but was fine with red leaf lettuce (she was also fine with arugala, even though its green.) She also had a phobia of super worms for some reason, so we assume she had some sort of traumatic incident with them as a baby...
My dragons favorite color is red she tries to eat anything red from logos on boxes and clothes to red garbage. I didnt know I could feed her sweet potato ?!
My bearded dragons favorite colors ever since he was little, was purple. He tried to eat large gemstones, flowers, and buttons. He was very mad when he didn’t actually eat them though
my bearded dragon is an orange color and her favorite color is green. she loves loves loves eating her greens and tries to eat anything green. (books, covers, markers)
Why do all of these bearded dragons eat like they just ate two seconds ago meanwhile mine act like I’ve been starving them for two months and their so aggressive while eating and the worms fly everywhere 😭
Me watching this with my bearded dragon: “Alani, don’t you see what a beautiful and adorable creature you are/come from?!” Alani- “shut up I’m trying to sleep!” *sleep*
Love our Beardie's, pretty common here in Queensland, caught tens of dozens over the years, i give them a check because most of the time they are covered in ticks.
My dragon went missing today he somehow got out of his cage it was closed properly we have put out food on rocks and set up a warm spot for him and we are frequently going out side and checking if there's any movement or any food taken, really worried because there are alot of birds in my area and we also have a blue tounge lizard in our backyard and dogs next door 😔
