About 30 years ago we camped beside this river. It was fun to see the trucks with innertubes going north on one side of the campsite, and the tubers coming down the river on the other side. Turns out we pitched our tent almost on top of a skunk’s den, but we didn’t mess with her and she didn’t mess with us! Lovely spot to camp, lovely river, lovely State. 💕from🇨🇦

I was lucky enough to do a 3 day fly fishing trip down the Deschutes. Such a great trip. Thank You Jerry for making it a little more like home. Much better than doing the business in an old ammo box most call a groover.

Love this river.. I grew up camping, rafting & fishing between shears falls and mac's canyon, my dad had a huge Army raft and he would drop us off just below the falls and we would float back to our campground (Beaver Tail or Macs Canyon) no life jackets or helmet's!! This was way before the raft rentals, permits and all that other stuff. What sweet memories I have of this beautiful area and river.. Thanks Jerry for a job well done!

I sure noticed the 2 ply but didn't know you were the guy responsible for the upgrade. Well done!!

Single ply paper is stupid. You have to use twice as much so there's no advantage to it whatsoever. Of all the things our government regulates, this is the ONE thing I could support regulating.

2Ply is a good guy for sure. But OR "allowing" 500 people on the river is comedy. Never worried about that controlling hipster bs, never will.

I used to run a railcar up and down the river back when many of the babes went topless. "THEY" shut that down in the 90's....
