Ginette Bedard ran her first marathon at the age of sixty-nine, runs ten miles every day, and says that running keeps her young. Now, at eighty-six, she will be running her seventeenth New York City marathon.

Whatever makes you happy! My great grandmother lived to be 107. She had lots of husbands. Drank lots of beer. Ate lots of hostess snack cakes. Lived alone in a building with no elevator... Full of sass! Always on the go.

This lady inspires me. I hear all these 30 and 40 somethings calling themselves old. This lady actually loves being the oldest. I worked with someone who at 24 complained that one weekend while out with her friends, she was the oldest among them and how sad it was. Younger people can be really dumb.

lovelyvegan princess a vegan shouldn’t be calling people dumb. Old is relative and some young people are disabled and have the bone structure of those that are 80. Acting young doesn’t change things. It’s dumb to judge anyone. But yes living it up is good at any age. You’re only as old as you feel

My Dad power walked to the hotel for a beer or three at 5pm every day ( a 30 minute walk there & back ) at 90 he looked 65 and his hair never went grey.

I just started ultra running last year at 42 when I met a volunteer at a trail race. He ran his first ultra in his late 60s, and was still doing them in his 70s. He motivated me to search RU-vid, and the rest is history!

I've been running depressed for 2 years and it didn't help at all, then fortunately everything passed, I still keep running but I wish that was the cure for depression... Of course it helps to make you feel better but depression is a thing way more serious than something that could be fixed with running imo

Love her! I feel the same. If I run under 10 miles when I go out for a run (3-5 times a week), it doesn’t feel right. I also need hills too or it’s just not challenging. Now I need to get faster. I’m not very fast, but I can go 31 miles and feel great. I love the trail races! Hope I’m running if I’m still alive at her age.
