My theory is that the timeline goes: 1. Weird Strict Dad When Jim was a young kid, his dad got possessed by the porch entity every night. This went on for a while until one day when his dad randomly left during the day, leaving him home alone as a teen. 2. Residence Massacre His possessed dad and all the other possessed people were insticted to go to the power plant before the spill, then becoming the anomalies. This caused Jim to be traumatized by Shelter in Place warnings. 3. Jim's Computer Long after the events of Residence Massacre, Jim moved to a different location in his own house. Due to his PTSD from WSD and Residence Massacre, he never felt safe at night. Eventually, the same Shelter In Place warning and contaminant spill happened, causing Jim to have a breakdown and commit suicide. 4(?). Stereotypical Obby I'm not so sure about this one, but I think that possibly Jim was sent to a sort of "purgatory" after his death, which turned out to be Stereotypical Obby.
Actually, this is not cannon and not confirmed, but I have a theory. Jim's computer became weird strict dad. How: In Jim's computer, a killer was on the loose, that killer was the porch anomaly in weird strict dad. Jim new he had nowhere to hide, so he oof'ed himself, the porch anomaly took his soul and made a deal with the dad, offering his soul for anything, but that deal was a lie and dad got controlled. That explains why both their shirts were red. Residence Masascre only existed for 1 night. Why: Larry, the anomaly in Residence massacre, is weak to ceiling light. If the sun rises, he would basically die. "Couldn't he just hide in the tunnel?" No, because tunnels have lights on the ceiling as well. No, he also cannot hise in a cave in time because it's just flat area. A steriotypical obby is the beginning before Jim's computer. How: In A steriotypical obby, you have to do these tasks to complete the good ending (true ending in this case). These tasks suddenly have a problem, like the interrogation task. An anomaly has gotten into the interrogation room and you have to prevent it from killing you using sound, electricity, and lights. Sound familiar? Larry was that anomaly. Even though he looks like an upgraded version of Larry, these are flashbacks from the past. The tycoon task fire was the porch anomaly. "You blame everything on the porch anomaly! It's not him!" The reason why you couldn't see the intruder (porch anomaly) because he is a shadow. "What about his coat?" Thats Jim, but this was before Jim. The flashback task. This is a flashback of your avatar's child (I have no idea how to describe them) got oof'ed in a shooting by- "Let me guess, porch anomaly!" Nope, Jim. We can see that Jim has a gun. "But he bought it before this!" He oof'ed the child over a device, tried to sell the gun, and retired in a home far away from town so he doesn't get caught by the cops. Then, your insane self goes crazy, wanting to see your child again. "What about the bad ending?" That happens when you don't do anything, acting like you don't care about your child. "How did Larry get out of there?" You see, Larry is timed with you. You need to be faster at parkour and to tasks to send him back. "Wouldn't that prevent him from going to reality?" I didn't say it stopped him, I just said you needed to be quicker than him. But hey, thats just a theory.
My theory: Weird Strict Dad is Jim’s childhood. Jim had a really weird and strict father when growing up, causing him to go paranoid at night. Residence Massacre is his teenager phase. When he finally gets in a new house on his own, he practically has to survive a monster..every night. Making him even more scared and traumatized. Finally, Jim’s Computer. This takes place in adulthood, where Jim’s decides to buy a brand new house once again. But while there, the news states that a “serial killer” is on the loose, and due to the trauma, Jim automatically thinks it’s after him. Jim goes insane, and does everything he can to stop it from entering his house. (Barricading his windows, checking his closets, buying weapons). But Jim never feels safe. He can’t escape the fear and paranoia. Every night..he’s getting more and more insane until.. He kills himself. But no one was really after him. He just couldn’t take it anymore.

my theory: Jim and Larry were both brothers and weird strict dad was their father [obviously], so they both loved playing in the forest [aka where the power plant will be built later on] and they either play in the park inside the forest, one faithful day, when they gone into the forest, they stumbled across a dangerous terrorist, they both got bullied but the terrorists said only 1 of em can survive. So they did a rock paper scissors, Jim won and ran away home, now at this point, Larry comes home late with a pinkeye and blood all over his body [not his monster form yet], he said to Jim, "betrayal fool, I'll get you back for this.. Soon...." Jim assumed it was a joke and another day passed, both of them are happy, at least, Larry's pretending to be happy, weird strict dad shouted at them to get a job cause they were running low on gas, money etc, so they both decided to find jobs and both ended up in the nuclear power plant. A year passed and Jim got his own house, the nuclear power plant was still stable, for now... He bought many items such as he wanted, but he got weird and strange emotions of somebody is stalking him, so he went to sleep for 4 days straight, every night he would check if he was safe, but the creepy texts stopped him from being happy. Day 4, he got a very cursed email from somebody he doesn't know.. [Larry] saying "Prepare", this was Larry's revenge, but the power plant exploded that night and Larry was the suspect being brutally melted. Day 5, Jim finds planes passing his house and as night came, a broadcast came, he saw Larry's new body on the TV, Jim was noted he was the main target so he committed suicide and a few minutes after, Larry breaks in and haunts that place to this day.. Meaning this was Larry's plan to murder him but he found Jim dead, Larry was actually happy for once and killed others.
To be honest this is the actual real song for this game called "residence massacre". I also have few theories of it. Theory one: basically in the end of Jim's computer he shot his jaw so that's why the monster in residence massacre jaw is split open or the monster just took Jim's dead body. Theory two: basically I ain't sure with theory one since on the radio in residence massacre the radio said there are " Multiple unknown anomalies " which means there could be more Different monsters from future game updates of nights. And I think in night 2 we are playing as a cop or smt.
Theory three: it could be the one who possessed dad in weird strict dad could be one of the anomaly or just got "affected by radiation?" No it is not but the multiple anomalies they said in radio those are probably infected with radiation. See before you get in the game in the very first part of game before you ride a car solo or multiplayer you can see we are coming home from a facility yes we are is because we are the workers. And the radio said " "there has been radiation right behind your location"" But first of all you are wondering how I know? First the car had sign logo of facility. Second is obviously we are the workers such as why do we spawn near the facility right? If not then we shouldn't get attacked by the anomaly. Also anomaly called "larry" is dead due to sun rise I think especially he can't go to nowhere bc in night 2 the next night we can see a police car and the facility again. So basically inside that there are more faster ' stronger anomaly or maybe there's alot there right? You are asking where is the cop? Yes that's right I have tell you before we are the cop we play as the police in night 2. We can also see in very first place of spawn before the game it said "missing person" yes that's right it could be the anomaly in night 1 or the future night game updates and yes is probably larry. Here's a theory, Larry, the monster, jim, the guy on the left and the resident, the residence massacre protagonist are coworkers/ friends, the spill happened causeing Larry to became the monster in RM, on the fourth night of RM probably jim is going to die from his own gun, and the resident will become the dad from weird dad.
My theory: Jim last received a television warning that something radioactive took over his body after he committed suicide and his limbs became like this and there were other houses where Jim was, maybe we are in that house in the Residence Massacre game or somewhere else.
