No offense but strange that he mentioned prayers or indirectly mentioning his family controls what he choose to believe in but able to do deviant things like enlarged earlobes and tattoos. I'll probably get criticized or cancelled for mentioning this but find it extremely contradicting.

He already said its more of a workout to him, its implied he doesn’t get himself involved in the religious end of it
@kennethmajorSG
@kennethmajorSG 3 месяца назад
@JojoJoget that's what i meant too, he is not getting into the religious aspect of it but shown acts of deviants? Anyway, I'm not too sure if Lion Dance even have to do with religion because it's more of a chinese culture/tradition than association with religion which is why it's even shown as a video in the first place because he's performing it as a non-chinese. That's not even related to what i said though, I'm just saying what he said was contradicting because of his deviant acts yet he talked about religion. I don't want to assume his current beliefs or religion but If he does follow Islam, I'm just saying it's contradicting because he is already not practicing? I'm not a religious person but I do read about most religions and maybe there's varying degrees of acceptance in what one chooses to do but tattoos, enlarged earlobes are definitely much worst than gambling, smoking or premarital sex right? I don't want to judge but if he chooses free will, why can't he choose to believe in what in wants instead of being scared of what his mother/family thinks.

Well if you don't understand Islamic beliefs, that's on you to go educate yourself on the topic. If you think that just because someone professes to be a religious individual they are therefore without any sin or vices, idk what else to tell you but stop being so narrow-minded. how someone goes about contending with their own faith is their own business. Tattoos or enlarged earlobes being worse than gambling/smoking/premarital sex.... did you even read what you typed out? Honestly go have a deeper think about that, it's ludicrous you even suggest that to be the case.

@@rogersmith3094 I think you're being narrow-minded by being subjective about your opinions on Islam but open on the topics of the freedom of human beings. I'm trying to be objective and I'm not stating my personal opinions but rather what I know to the best of my knowledge. If you think it's ludicrous, then educate me. However, it's a fact that people tend to change things over the years. For example, there are different Islamic sects such as Shia and Sunni. I don't want to go into too much depth because it would be too complicated. But generally, following Islam or any religion is a matter of personal belief and connection with God, right? More than that, we also choose a specific lifestyle. We can argue that this doesn't allow for flexibility in your practices. Otherwise, we can call it another religion or belief. Though humans are not perfect, it's the intentions that count. Maybe you didn't see that I wrote "Free Will," which means that I have no objections against anyone choosing what to do with their lives regardless of their beliefs. I just find it extremely contradictory that he associated religion with lion dancing, which is clearly more of a cultural tradition among the Chinese. It's contradictory not because of how he chose to modify his body, but more because he exercises "Free Will" yet is prevented from choosing what he wants to believe in by his family as stated. Additionally, we can infer from the video that drugs might be prevalent in his family or community, and he might have chosen to perform lion dancing as a distraction or hobby to stay away from other deviant behaviors. Are you also going to argue that all these issues can't be prevented? Maybe in the eyes of religion, all these vices or sins are of equal harm. But what makes someone a Muslim? I believe we all have different interpretations. I agree with you that not all religious individuals are perfect, but it also depends on your intentions, and clearly, there is a reason why Islamic law exists. No offense, but I would like to be educated and i'm not spreading any form of hatred. I always find such contradictions because of human modifications to religion. One personal opinion: I would love to be religious, but it's hard to be when I know there are intentions to go against the laws of religion unless i'm ready to make changes. I might as well be an atheist or follow Deism until I'm ready to fully accept any religion, right?
