Spin potential doesn't come from the base material but rather from the peel ply used on the final layer of carbon. Also Gearbox paddles aren't solid carbon but rather they use carbon "beams" inside the core and foam filled between those. Great conversation guys really enjoyed it! I've done a deeeep dive into paddle tech and am starting my own paddle company as we speak!
