I was mad at Golbert for years because of the COVID thing. That being said, he’s an amazing defender. Strong, smart, and sturdy. We all know that narratives drive NBA award selections. His teams were winning too during those years. NBA players were offensive number one options all their lives and a defensive genetic beast getting more money than them calling him overrated makes sense. Draymond was an offensive player growing up but lost his offensive confidence in the league His contributions paved the way for players like Wemby.and seems like countless other new French lottery picks coming up Golbert is 31 and is barely declining, playing 70+ games for most of his career. I may be jealous of this because I’m a clippers fan lmao I get the hate. But he is damn good
