Long-term Red Hatter Matt Hicks has taken over the role of President and CEO of Red Hat as Paul Cormier takes over the role of Chairman. I sat down with Hicks and Cormier to talk about this transition, what it means for Red Hat and more importantly, where does Hicks see Red Hat in the modern cloud-driven world. We also discussed a wide range of topics including why Cormier felt it was time for him to step down, what new wave of technologies they see as both challenges and opportunities and what kind of relationship is there between Red Hat and IBM.
