Former U.S. Capitol Chief of Police Operations Steven Sund said in February 2021 that on January 3, he contacted House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul D. Irving and Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael C. A partial overhaul of healthcare almost passed Congress (to be signed into law by him) but it lost by ONE VOTE, which was JOHN McCAIN. I've had to wait a day to cool off making a comment about Kristen Welker's MTP debut. If this show is any indication of her future shows, she might as well pack it in. She showed her complete & utter lack of journalistic ability & integrity & just let trump roll all over her. I’m not loving this new host. she doesn’t press for answers any more then the last guy. someone needs to really press and insist on an answer. like answer this question or we’ll move on to the next interview. if a politician wants to tout his or her accomplishments/policies, they’ll have to answer the interview questions.

She’s manipulating him. You can’t _always_ poke the bear or he’ll waddle off like Donald Duck having a tantrum. He’s done it in interviews in the Oval Office, where there are famously no corners to hide in. He just stomped back over to his empty desk and began looking for something to make him look busy. They probably made sure he had a Diet Coke and a fresh Depends waiting in his dressing room. This way, she got him to incriminate himself all over the place.

I was hoping for a reactive interview of Trump instead of a list of questions with bad follow up. I need an informed moderator like Tim Russert, this was similar to a Chuck Todd interview. I know Trump walked off of the Leslie Stahl interview, the same thing should have happened. When she asked about the deficit and Trump agreed with the looming government shutdown I thought she would ask about Trumps uncontrolled spending and contribution to the deficit. I hope Kristen looks at Tim Russerts interviews of the past.

Walking off would have made Trump look like a loser. Trump had too much control of the interview to do that this time. He needed to stay and defend himself. Trump got away with too much. He knew the interviewer was being as generous as anyone from a network he has no respect for would ever be. There was no incentive for him to walk away from such an opportunity. That said, both sides didn't do particularly well especially Trump.

Well, I stopped watching because of Chuck Todd, but liked Kristen Welker on the Today show. Thought I would watch her on this show. Big mistake. Having TFG on was bad enough, but to go to him and do the interview on his turf was a horrible idea! Then to ask him soft questions and not push back when he clearly lied was astounding! You’ve lost me for one!
