Idealistically, airing a snippet of Don'T's speech is not only fair reporting of the news but it also shows the American people and the world just how deranged he is when he spouts accusations, conjecture, disinformation, fear, hyperbole, lies, and childish tirades. And that's leaving out Don't's buddies, Jeffrey Orban, Vladimir Putin, and Hannibal Lecter. It allows viewers/people to see both sides of the spectrum and for those with lesser education, intelligence, or critical thinking skills to hopefully come upon a logical conclusion when it comes time to vote in November.
Having a live-stream event of Trump's speech with live fact-checking would be fine. But just letting him take up valuable oxygen on a legacy show like Meet the Press is bad form. The format of the show doesn't match the moment. There is already plenty for the reporters to analyze and discuss without giving Trump this kind of airtime.
Of course NBC would cover this stupid excuse for a rally. We wouldn't want to miss their opportunity to feed us another repetition of his gaggle of lies and idiotic statements.
Shame on the press for not challenging Trump on the cost of the very items he used as props. To get him on his economic messaging, someone should have asked him "what's the price of a gallon of milk or a dozen eggs 🥚

According to one study I saw, George W. Bush's I.Q. during his presidency was a dismal 91, which to no surprise ranked at the bottom of all I.Q.s for U.S. presidents. Currently, there is no up-to-date I.Q. assessment for Don'T, but I believe it's safe to say he ranks significantly below GWB.

This does not make up for how the media and sone Democrats treated him. It’s a start though-/considering the unique achievements he has that most of us did not pay attention to. VP Harris has been to her credit his biggest cheerleader and then his natural successor. Since that debate he has been mostly getting better. Why would a candidate run out there and start doing interviews when you don’t have to. If you’ve got the wind at your back, you don’t take the risk. It’s not that Kamala Harris can’t go out there for an interview. It’s that she doesn’t need to right now and if you don’t need to go out there and interview and make your position known, you don’t do it because when you do you open yourself up to attack, you open yourself up to criticism. Delay the longer you can delay criticism the longer. You get to keep the wind at your back. She has less than a month and some states before early voting. Why would you risk that?
