There is always going to be political repercussions in a criminal trial of a public figure like trump. That should in no way discount the importance of holding a person accountable for criminal actions. Their argument that the trial is politically motivated is irrelevant.
The undexided need to ask themselves WHY they believe people who literally lie all the time. What kind of success comes from lies? Where will this lead us? @ADrizzyTime that might be so, but Trump is the one that they must prove guilty of this sham bookkeeping "crime". Michael Cohen is a star witness in this "trial" so it matters if he lied, and they proved he lied multiple times. That's a big deal in our legal system. Whatever Trump lied about in regards to crowd size at his events or anything else has no bearing on this case. You should probably learn how trials work.

@@damham5689Just because Cohen is on our side let's not forget who he was for ten years. I think he's done a great job in court and I deeply appreciate that. He was criming alongside Trump for 10 years. He got caught not just for the Trump stuff but also because he was committing fraud with his taxi medallions, committing ongoing extensive tax fraud and he committed perjury 3 times under oath. They were going to send him to prison for a very long time. That was when he developed a conscience and turned states evidence. Hilariously we found out the other day he was stealing from Trump as well. That made me laugh but creep seems like the nicest thing we can say about the guy. Even though the steeling of 20 thousand dollars from your boss is so beyond the pale I love the idea that he did this over the full ten years he worked for him. The DNC needs to take into consideration how popular the Jerry Springer show was .
