Wouldn’t 1700 watts be more efficient than 1400 watts at drying a client’s long and thick hair? Also, what is the temperature at its highest heat setting? I have used Elchim for decades (their 2001 and 3900 models) which the brand has a lifetime warrantee, are circa 1,875 - 2,000 watts, temperature range is excellent especially hot setting, etc. I am trying to compare - aside from the obvious that your dryer is super tiny, very lightweight, eliminates the need for a removable filter and is ostensibly more quiet in decibels. Thanks in advance for replying - I am extremely intrigued by your dryer!

Using more wattage means using more electricity so its actually less efficient. Our max temp is 258 degrees F but our newer model actually puts out even more heat. But also remember hotter doesn't always mean better. After a certain temp you start to fry the hair. YOu want a combo of high air pressure and heat for quick drying.

I purchased the gamma professional drier the silver one and have had no luck getting ahold of anyone my drier stopped working 2 weeks after I purchased it stopped during my blow-dry I loved the drier till it stopped can you help

I heard it spoil quite easily if you accidentally drop it and the air get hot easily once is on for long period of time?

Yes any dryer will break if you drop it. You must be careful and take care of your tools.

I like the way these look but that high pitched piercing sound hurts so bad! I worked with a guy who had the silver gamma and I went home with a bad headache

Hello, The silver dryer is actually by Gama that is a differeent company than us. It is completely different from our dryer and company. We don't make a silver version of this dryer. The Xcell dryer is only black and has the lowest pitch out of Dyson and the Gama IQ dryer you are talking about. Our dryer's pitch is only 66 decibels.

There is no way I would buy this dryer again payed 300.00 from cosmoprof and it melted THEY won't refund much money told me they would send a new one if I didn't want it I could sell it on my own awful customer service .Another words TAKE IT AND LEAVE IT Sad😮

What do you do if the heat setting isn’t working? I have the setting all the way up on hot but it’s still blowing out cold air, what should I do?

Try blasting compressed air into the dryer nozzles. Sometimes dust gets caught inside and messes with the internal computer. If that doesn't work please email info@gammaplusna.com

How does this one differ from the Gamma IQ Perfetto? I see they have the same weight and RPM. But this one costs more.

Hello, our dryer runs at only 1400 watts compared to IQ perfetto's 1700 watts. So its more energy efficient. The xcell has 60mbar of air pressure compared to IQ's 40mbar. And the Xcell pitch is only 66DB versus IQ's 70DB. The Xcell also comes with 5 attachments, 4 nozzles and 1 difusser.
