@@AzeraV i didnt record I only have the story and the events that happened. The 1st princess was killed on her birthday when she became a teen. Her two brothers were struck with grief and struggled with their school so their mom takes them into the royal office to watch them when they're back. One of the sons was given heirship to the throne and had his portrait taken and is now the successor.

Now I wanna do this! I might make a little royal family and make the daughter of my family marry the duke. Their child would be a.... lady if female I believe and an earl if male. Edit: Then I would marry the lady into the king.

Wow... this is the very first video on the channel, and it is actually about the Royal Family Legacy Challenge. MiraRae is the only Simmer who is known for doing royal families. There are probably other people doing royal families in The Sims 4 as well, but MiraRae is probably the most popular one. I mean, she has 34,400 subscribers for the whole channel and 218,344 views for just this video. Dang. And this save file has been around since Jun 14, 2018. Now it is June 2023. So, about 5 years has passed. A 5-year save file. I am definitely going to do my own Royal Family Legacy Challenge save file, but the backstory is going to be a bit different. Basically, my main Sim will be a regular commoner, living in Willow Creek, and he has BIG aspirations. He wants to earn lots of money, build a beautiful castle, hire servants, marry a proper lady and get an heir. He is also quite socially conservative so he is going to vote on that Back in the Olden Days NAP (I think that's the name?) and other useful NAPs. So in the beginning, it will feel like a Rags To Riches Challenge, but as time moves forward, the Royal Family Legacy Challenge will soon take shape. And my main Sim will change his country from a democracy to an authoritarian absolute monarchy. His trusted men are people who will vote on similar NAPs and change society, and they will get noble titles and ranks. But in terms of wealth, well, they have to earn that themselves.
I'm gonna start watching this series so I can get ideas for my royal family. Completely starting from scratch on a new save with my Queen Cordelia. I looove the portrait idea!

Had one of the dynasty videos pop up in my reccomended watched about 5 minuets before coming to the series 1 playlist to binge watch them all. Love it so far and its making my history nerd self very happy. ( kinda due to the fact I LOVE any history and stuff to do with various royal families of the past and present.) Also gained a new subscriber.
i think its kinda funny how some people don't understand the class system but the only reason I know it is because i read so much medieval fantasy manhwa
I just found you! You're amazing! I've been making a Scandinavian Royal Family in my free time, and was planning to get back into youtube to present them. I had no idea people were already doing my idea haha. Just the series/video (guide) I was looking for. The gameplay options were making it a real struggle for me to create proper dynastic houses. Your Dynasty video also gave me an idea to make me a castle on the 64x64 San Myshuno lot - I hope you won't mind me borrowing that idea as I think I'll make that a hall/castle/palace and make it 'Common Sim Law' that all marriages are to take place there... I was hoping to start a House of Wessex and introduce other royal families from other parts of Europe, create earls and get a dynasty going. I was looking for something to do and got back in to The Sims during this coronavirus outbreak whilst watching a history documentary on Henry VIII. Just to give you a bit of history on peerages/titles they sometimes came with hon (I'll keep this England-based to stop you being overwhelmed and the 'top' titles in each category). You were right and sometimes they Dukes and usually, especially the ones of royalty, have subsidiary titles. HRH Queen Elizabeth is also Duke of Lancaster. HRH Prince Charles is also Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothsey. The Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex also have cadet Earldom titles both in England and Scotland. There are other royal dukedoms (York, Gloucester and Kent), but because they're not prominent in the immediate line of succession their titles aren't as a grand and don't have the similar secondary honours. The person who is heir apparent to the title 'Duke of Norfolk' - said to be the premiere non-royal dukedom in England/the UK - first becomes the Earl of Norfolk (said to be a 'honorific' title). Upon the death of a Duke (in this case), the Earl becomes the Duke and the successor to the Earl then becomes the Earl (a bit like a prince/princess becoming king/queen). The non-inheriting members of the lineage get the purely honorific titles of Lord or Lady, I think. I could probably have written that better. Similar applies to the Duke of Richmond. The Marquesses of Townshend and Weymoth have the cadet titles of Viscount Townshend and Weymouth respectively. I don't think there's anything lower than Marquess that has a cadet title - whether associated (Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall etc) or honour (Duke/Earl Norfolk). The best example of a royal dynasty is probably the House of Plantagenet - not only are they related to the House of Normandy and House of Bois, but they were part of the House of Angevin and cadet branches of the Plantagenets most famously included the House of York and Lancaster, but the Tudors (and thereby the related Stuarts) had a tenuous connection to both the House of Lancaster and York (don't confuse the current Duke of York with the medieval Duke of York, though, as Henry VII took the title off the Yorkist family and took it under royal prerogative and turned it in to the secondary royal dukedom (after Cornwall) to the Prince of Wales' brother. Before Henry VII, York was one of the premier dukedoms in England. The history is more of an aside, but I hope you found it interesting if not useful. If you want to know more about the Plantagenets from a historical perspective I recommend checking out cdn.britannica.com/38/168038-050-EF432C0F/House-of-Plantagenet.jpg (do bare in mind that this only refers to relations of the English Kings, not the whole of the Angevin-Plantagenet house). However, any dynasty is tied to the immediate family of the head of that family - Eleanor of Aquitaine joined the House of Plantagenet by marriage, but her parents, any siblings etc did not. Timeline's (a RU-vid channel) has a good series called 'Britain's Bloodiest Dynasty'. Anyway, I hope I haven't waffled on, gone too far off topic or bored you...
I actually have a royal family gameplay, I moved all the pictures and urns of the past to the basement, and I have all the pictures for birthdays, coronations, weddings, it is extensive though
