I hope that Salvation Army isn't like the one in Lincoln, NE. Otherwise she just wasted 49 years of her life believing she was actually helping anyone. The Salvation Army doesn't need to release their financial statements bc they are a church. Here in Lincoln they only wrote $9,000 in LES Electrical Assistance even though the United Way alone gave them $33,000 to that program. Black Hills Energy wrote the Lincoln Corps a $16,000 walk for warmth check that my old boss at the Salvation Army Lincoln put into the General Account to be used on whatever he wanted.
