I revisited this one of of Catherine and Todd Fisher; you could see he loved talking about his mother and sister, Carrie, and eager to tell you just about everything. It may be a way for him to be coping and keeping his mom, Debbie Reynolds and sis, Carrie Fisher alive. Thank you Jordan, I loved it.
I just watched all the blogs with Todd Fisher. I’m blown away by Todd’s willingness & openness to share his family’s life. Thank you Jordan for bringing us these incredible memories, history & experiences ❤️
@@DazewithJordantheLion I loved Todd and Catherine's personalities. I am so touched by his devotion to the memories and memorabilia of Debbie and Carrie. He is really sharp and interesting. Do those animals actually stay outside during the Las Vegas summers!? It gets to be 120 degrees there.
I was so lucky to see Debbie Reynolds twice..once with Don Rickles...Debbie was wonderful...my mom was a big fan and I got front row tickets...it was so memorable...She had been sick...but still she came and did a great show...I'm glad that her son is caring on her great memories..thanks for sharing all this great stuff
Wow, what a character!! I see the showmanship in his blood. He's doing great work to keep his family's legacy alive! Thanks Jordan! You're on a roll this month. Be safe.
I was at Debbie's casino around Christmas of 1995, it was very nice with a small part of Debbie's collection on display. As I am eating my chicken dinner, which was a very good dinner. I was the only 1 in the small dining area and Debbie and Rip Taylor who was involved in a show there both come up to me. Debbie asked about my meal as if I were eating a meal at her home. Very sweet lady, she apologized for leaving me but they had been headed to do something. Debbie and Elizabeth were on Larry King together and they said they were not mad at each other and both agreed they had made some bad choices picking men.
You know, I normally never watch this stuff on TV or the Internet but I do remember most of what happened in their lives, I am sure you can see I am in my later years in life too, and I loved this interview, it was fresh, ah inspiring and apple pie and cheese over all feeling about this interview, Loved it all ...Thank you to whoever kept it on youtube.❤❤❤❤
Just finished looking at this and it was amazing and how he can pictures of the woman that tore their family apart but like Todd said they are over it. Todd was amazing listening to him tell all these stories. I have been looking for those framed pictures of all those movies. And yes I remember Katherine from one life to live!
What a nice couple. I totally believe that Debbie communicated to them via the hotel TV. Love the picture of the two couples. I enjoy listening to these two people talk.
This is SO SWEET, like my heart broke when we lost Carrie and Debbie back in 2016 (Has it been FIVE YEARS already? Feels like yesterday), but seeing Cat and Todd being so happy is wonderful. I love their stories and their memorabilia, such a WONDERFUL VLOG!!
When you got to the end I was so happy when you said there are two more parts. I normally don't like long vlogs, but I couldn't stop watching this one. Todd and Catherine are so fun and interesting and their passion really shines through. It also seemed like you were in the middle of a reality show :-) Can't wait for the next two videos!!
Love the chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese and...that emu! Catherine is absolutely delightful and Todd's memories are priceless. Great stories from both of these lovely people. Debbie Reynolds was my favorite female musical comedy star and I loved Carrie Fisher in "Wishful Drinking" at the Geffen. THANK YOU, Jordon, Catherine and Todd! A big thanks to Gerry McCambridge, too! What a fabulous treasure this vlog is - can't wait to see more!!!
I really love Todd and his wife...how amazing, welcoming, engaging, you literally feel the love for Carrie and Debbie emanating from his stories. I'm so glad he can share these memories with Debbie and Carrie's fans,it's greatly appreciated.
I gotta say this too: Not only can we all not get out to these places ourselves, but we would NEVER be able to meet the people that you do. You're a blessing to us all. Thank you.
Debbie Reynolds had a true respect for beauty and knew that the Golden Era of Hollywood would never be repeated again and should be memorialized. I think her biggest legacy is the love and adoration she had for her children. I am sad that all the hard work she put into preserving the costumes and collecting them did not materialize into the grand museum we all know should be in existence but Todd and his wife are doing their part. Wonderful people and gracious hosts!
I just love Todd! He's so smart, witty and gregarious! He's one of those people who if you meet you'd feel like you've known them all your life. Those are the Best and rarest kind of people! He's so honest and open. Debbie raised him well! I'm 74 and the first time I saw Debbie in a movie was Tammy and I was hooked on Debbie!
Jordan I hope your still pinching yourself for being invited to go visit Todd. The stories are amazing. It’s like a follow up to the 2016 Documentary. The movie posters 😍 I have a few posters on my own. What an awesome guy Todd Fisher is! Cheers
What an intelligent interview. To be the son and brother of two major stars and remain that grounded is a human feat. He's also amazing. Debbie and Cary were wickedly funny!
I’m so happy that Todd and Catherine have kept so many important memories of his family. Debbie was amazing and so beautiful in the movies. Catherine loving birds is so funny, I raised a green winged macaw from 6 weeks old and he still lives with us. Thanks for bringing the past alive with your vlogs!!
Lady Sylvia, I love birds, so I was really happy to read that you have a green winged Macaw, I’m actually jealous! I adopted a pretty blue budgerigar, he was found injured & can’t fly, when I became aware oh his plight, the vet who was caring for him let me give him his forever home, and he tells me he love me every day! He says other things like Terrors boy (we have a little dog named Terror) & pretty boy, Momas boy & Dadddys boy! Birds are just beautiful creatures. Cheers.
Great vlog, Jordan! I believe Debbie Reynolds was one of the most beautiful women that ever graced the silver screen. I was heart broken when she passed. It was great to see that both her and Carrie's lives are still celebrated and their presence felt. I also spied the rare "Revenge of The Jedi" poster on Todd's "Star Wars" poster wall. The vlog was like a vast "buffet". Every time the camera swung from one place to another, you catch glimpse of new points of interest!
Thank you for all the videos with Todd and Cat...I am a big Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher fan, so these videos have been wonderful. Carrie and Debbie passing away a day apart was no accident...they were meant to always be together in spirit.
This was wonderful! I loved the hotel story!! They are an amazing couple! Debbie knew instinctively that Katherine was the one for her son, and she was so right! Can't wait for the next video!
This is one of my fav videos..Todd and Catherine are so special and I love them for their caring hearts for animals! Debbie was always one of my fav actresses!! I’m so happy Jordan you were able to share with Todd and his family! Carrie a darling and love her stories!! Thanks Jordan❣️🌈🌹🦋
Really enjoyed seeing all their farm animals and Debbie Reynolds dog as well as all the collectibles and memorabilia along with the stories attached to their experiences❣️Thanks Jordan once again for this fantastic reminiscing journey into Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher’s lives. ❤️🙏🏻
I was so excited to see this! I met Todd and Cat at the Magic Castle when I was a member, and Todd was talking about his book and doing book signings. They are so cool! I read all the family autobiographies plus Carries autobiographical/novels. I even wear some of Cat’s Cosmetics. 🥰
Jordan this was absolutely my FAVORITE - I just felt I was there with you all . Thank you all for giving me an experience I would never have had other wise
So sweet of them to let you in and share their memories & memorabilia, their very selves, etc. I thank them & appreciate it. They seem like nice normal folks.
What a kind and generous couple! I love how Todd talks about "his girls" with such love and tenderness. I haven't had the pleasure of reading his book, I will chase up a copy! Thank you Jordan for this wonderful interview!
A story for you Jordan. My husband daughter and I went to San Francisco and while my husband golfed at Presidio my daughter and I ventured to see what we could find. Loving books we went to Barnes and noble. There was a book signing by Eddie Fisher so the little one and I went. He was starting and asked if he could get anyone anything. My then 2-year old raised her hand and he asked how he could help her. She asked if she could have some of his grapes. He asked me if he could respond and I said yes. He told her not only could she have his grapes but he asked a chair be brought out for her and placed next to him. Throughout his talk he asked her if she needed anything additionally. I believe she asked for water. He was very attentive to her and I will always remember how kind he was to my little one. After the signing he spoke with me and inquired where we were from, what were we doing, etc. he thanked her for being his co-host and thanked me for letting her sit with him. She was quite the talker. During that trip we met the California Attorney General and the Mayor Willie Brown from Mineola, Texas who also took a liking to The little one. Everyone was always so enthralled with her intelligence and beauty for such a little girl.
Wow Jordan this is terrific that Debbie's son Todd and his wife Catherine Hickland are still enthusiastic and on board with the museum. Debbie poured so much of her heart and soul *as well as money* into the museum - I am glad to see that her son is willing to carry on with the project. I have bought Todd's book as well as a couple of Debbie's, so it was great to hear Todd here. Now onto Carrie's books! BTW I have been a fan of Catherine since my soap watching days - she was so cute on Capitol! Looking forward to the next two parts of this vlog, thanks Jordan!
Thank you for the tour and thank you for rescuing these farmed animals to bring awareness that they are just as loving and sentient as the dogs we all love so much.
Molly Brown is a great movie. Debbie had so much energy and it was fun to watch. I saw it at the theater when it came out when I was a kid. I am in my 60s now.
I have been and stayed at The Greenbrier a few times-the chandelier from Gone With the Wind is actually hanging in the main bar of the resort! It’s beautiful-love this story-didn’t realize Debbie & Eddie went there for their Honeymoon!!
@@DazewithJordantheLion -a must-the Underground Bunker that the government kept secret during the Cold War is something to see-especially since it has been “debunked” and open for the public to see! President Eisenhower had them build a complete bunker underneath one wing of it to house all of congress in case of a nuclear war-all housed with a hospital, tv station, cots and food for several months and many other things-was a “secret” for many years until the Washington Post was getting ready to tell the secret and they decided to debunk it!! It ran for years under the code name Project Greek Island-Amazing history there-most of the Presidents and other heads of state have all stayed there! Definitely a must see and stay!
I love how down-to-earth they both are as well as how much they love animals. Interesting classes they teach -- wish I could take a few of those. Great stories about his parents and sis! What a fun experience this was for you...and for us through you. Thanks!
What a marvelous vlog! Thank you to Todd and Catherine for opening their home and sharing their insight. You are knowledgeable and respectful and this was a real treat!!
I just love the Fisher family. Grew up watching Mrs. Reynalds, Carrie Fisher, and the interviews and so on. Love the energy and how down to earth they are. Very kind and honest family. I had the pleasure meeting Carrie at a Star wars premier, she lit up the room. Their passing was just heartbreaking.
Wow, I just loved the stories behind the costumes. Todd and Catherine oral history of life with Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher was fantastic. I can watch a video like this all day. I can only imagine how wonderful it felt to film everything!
I read Todd's book when it came out, and of course I had to look up everything after that. I remember when I first started here on your vlogs, I asked you to do a Debbie vlog and with in a week or two you went to their home, where they lived when Todd and Carrie were young and did the vlog. I loved Todd's book. I love his candor about their lives and very thankful that he is willing to share his girls with all of us. I am so happy to see him again and that he and his wife are doing well. Their home seems like a very happy place, with all the animals. And seeing Debbie's dog is wonderful. What an amazing opportunity, to be able to talk with him, at his home, in a casual setting, with no interference. Blessings to them all, and a huge thank you to you Jordan.
Thank you so much Jordan for keeping old Hollywood alive. I never get tired of old Hollywood. I appreciate all your hard work & prep and the many stories, legends and tidbits that go in to your vlogs. History has never been so much fun! Old Hollywood is where it's at.
Thanks so much Jordan for cheering me up so much, I have been very ill and this program really helped me better when I just feel so miserable! Thank Todd & Katherine also for letting us into your life a bit, you are very likeable and I laughed and Idk, i feel i grew up around so much of Hollywood culture being an L.A. girl. I grew up loving Debbie and Carrie and still remember the Liz scandal. This was packed with so much trivia and wow, Todd is so good at sharing with us and I feel like I've known him all his life so it was just nice.
One of the GOLDEN families of Hollywood. When Carrie unexpectedly passed away, it was just heartbreaking her mom Debbie followed the nest day but not shocking, when you knew how close this mother- daughter were. R.I.P. to both. Another awesome video 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
This is so amazing! Thanks for sharing! And thanks to Todd and Cat for being so friendly and showing us all this cool stuff. We love Debbie and Carrie!
Thank you very much Jordan, I actually shed a tear when they told the story of the photo taken at the hotel, then when they showed it, well it made me well up. Debbie was my favorite, and the whole thing, losing her and Carrie at the same time must of actually been so devastating for Todd. Looking forward, very much , to the next installment. Fantastic work from you Jordan x
Wow! love this vlog. I was lucky enough to go to the Debbie Reynolds hotel and see the memorabilia she had collected. Watching the clips from movies and then watching the props and costumes being revealed was just magical. My favorite movie is Wizard of Oz and seeing the ruby slippers up close, made me weepy! . I can't wait to see the other 2 vlogs! Jordan you're amazing the things you are able to show us!
This was an amazing video and how much fun it was to interview both Todd Fisher and Catherine Hickland. They seem to be so happy together and it shows. We loved all the history he shared about his mom and sister. Loved the walk around with Catherine to see all her animal babies. They are very well loved and cared for, that is so cool they recused all the animals they did and to share that with us. Todd Fisher seemed very nice and friendly and we could have watched so much more of them. We are so glad you have more to share with us. This video was very fun and upbeat because we loved Debbie Reynolds and watch her all the time. The pics of Carrie were so nice to see and also how much Todd loved her. Can't wait to see the next video.
My mom was a huge Debbie Reynolds fan ❤️ when Eddie Fisher left her for Elizabeth Taylor my mother despised Liz Taylor after that! I was going to name my daughter Taylor Elizabeth my Mom lost her mind LOL 😂 and that was in 1994! This was a fantastic vlog! I miss Carrie and Debbie 😭 one of my favorite Carrie appearances is from The Big Bang Theory when Sheldon and the great James Earl Jones plays ding dong ditch to Carrie. Every time my door bells rings to this day I’ll scream “It’s not funny anymore James!!!!” I’m a dork LOL
I am so impressed by these Todd Fisher videos, this is very interesting and it is full of love from him as a son and brother! Congratulations on getting all these conversations, these images, this information, you are incredible, this is gold!!
It’s me again, Jordan! You are so natural at these VLOGS! I’m officially addicted to watching everything you put out there! My favorite part of this one is the story behind the honeymoon picture of Debbie and Eddie that Catherine and Todd recreated💓💓. When they shared the TV P/electronics phenom, it took me back to a similar experience I’ve had with electronics the very early morning hours the day my grandfather passed away! I also get the “goosebumps” and chills when I feel something spiritual is happening! Unlike Catherine, though, I don’t have the ability to understand or channel these situations and experiences! Mostly just a “feeling”! For me, I got an extra bonus when Catherine and Todd shared their experience! I’m so grateful, again, for another awesome VLOG as I feel like I’m right there in a “studio” experiencing the interviews in person! Heading off to your next VLOG with them!🤩✌️💜 Congratulations on another terrific, informative VLOG 🥳🥳💞💞
Thank You so much for this vlog!!!!! I’ve loved Carrie Fisher since 1977 when Star Wars came out. I was 10 yrs old and wanted to be Princess Leia soooo much!!! And Debbie Renoylds was one of the classiest ladies ever to grace Hollywood. Todd and Christine are a great couple and I love all of their stories!!!! Thanks Again!!!!!❤️
This was so beautiful. Gave me chills. Thank you Jordan and special thank you to Todd and Catherine. It was s wonderful visit with you both. So special made me cry.
Todd is a great guy. Didn’t hear much of him while he was growing up. Debbie Reynolds was a great actress. I loved her in Tammy’s in love. That’s an awesome place. This man tell great stories, I could listen to him all day.
This is one of my favorite vlogs of Jordan's. Catherine & Todd are so nice!! And I'm glad they have Debbie's dog, Dwight, and Debbie's Christmas tree all year-round!! Good job, Jordan - keep 'em coming!! 😊✌❤🖖
Thank you. Very personable. A good visit. Good to see the collection! A very nice memory of mine - the time Debbie performed locally (a half hour from where she grew up.) My mother and I sat on a bench in the breezeway after the show. Debbie appeared,. As she walked toward her CD signing (for which a considerable line was starting to form,) she came over to Mother and I stopped and greeted us warmly. Debbie was lovely, and Todd was there (with his dog); Todd provided audio visual support for his mom - a family affair the whole evening, for everyone.
Jordan, Thank you for vlogging your meeting with Todd and Cat. They are both wonderful hosts and I'm sure you enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoyed watching. Todd seems very personable and down to earth, considering the storied life he has led.
Wish come true. Love Debbie Reynolds and her family. Love Todd telling all those stories and getting to see Catherine. Love her too. She and Todd make a great couple. Everything they have of Debbie and Carrie are so amazing. Very happy we get more vlogs with them. Exciting day spent with them. Jordan, you are very blessed by God. Thank you for all you do.
This interview is so endearing. I could listen to Todd forever about his family. And the beautiful Catherine so gentle and kind. Todd thank you for all the memories.
I an a huge Carrie Fisher fan and this video was a lovely tribute to Debbie and Carrie! It was a treat watching this intimate conversation with Todd and “Kat” Fisher. They seemed so down to earth and kind! Thank you, Jordan for another amazing video. Looking forward to the next few vlogs with them!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really loved this one Jordan! I just realized that Carrie WAS an actual 'Princess' (of Hollywood) because her Mother was the Queen..... wow! Now, I gotta check out the other 2 video's in this series. What a cool way to spend a rainy Saturday morning after working all night. A great way to start my weekend! Thanks again!
Jordan you do a fantastic job doing this... you let them do their thing and talk, and always interject positively …. this is probably the warmest and most sincere visit with a celebrity I've ever seen thank you!
Todd is such a COOL person!!! and Debbie SAVED hollywood history!!! the casino in VEGAS,..had a wonderful display and movie clip...interactives....IT WAS PERFECTO ..thank you so much for this interview!!!! JORDAN you rock!
Coming back to this vid after ystdy's vid of Todd (7/2022.) And you're just meeting him here for the first time...all on film!! Like watching history happen before my eyes! Bless your heart. The feathered friends were amazing. Unexpected surprise for sure. You gotta LOVE this couple! And their collection... should be in their very own museum. You're so good with people. Thank you for ALL you do!
Tod seems like he is such a nice person that if you met him he wouldnt just blow you off I am a big Debbie Reynolds fan and it is so special to see her and Carries things!!!
I love Todd's telling histories about all those times sometimes about Carrie than changing at the same time and talking about his Mom. Great guy! Thanks to you two Jordan and Todd for sharing with us. Specially now in lockdown. Regards from a newbie from Germany
